Interesting TV/Streaming

We watched two of the three parts of "Unforgotten" on PBS via streaming. Then discovered there were no more parts available. Panic!!! Fortunately, part three is playing on PBS this Sunday (Masterpiece Mystery). I highly recommend this if you watch detective and/or CSI type shows.

Re: LPGA Winners - 4/1/2017 to 4/11/2018

The two 3-time winners were Ms. Feng and Ms. Kim (I-K). Surprising to me was Christie Kerr won twice during that time period. Tied with her were Jutanugarn, Park (Inbee) and Thompson, if I recall correctly, which is always a problem. Which brings me to Yani Tseng. Can a great golfer disappear faster...

I picked IKK, ShanShan, Lexi and Ariya, based on memory. I know Brooke Henderson had at least one, maybe two wins.
Too many but you did name the two ladies with 3 wins (best) during the period.

Ignorance!

Listen I don't like it any more than you but Shanshan Feng of China put the smack down on the LPGA in the latter part of 2017.
Well done - 50% correct.

Re: 2018 Winter Season Support Group

Crap, another snow day Tuesday. Got around 1-2 inches. While the paved areas cleared by noon, there was still an inch covering our deck this morning and lots of snow on northern slopes and where the sun is blocked - not that we have seen the sun much, either. Another bout of rain/snow is coming this...

Re: 2018 Winter Season Support Group

It rained hard Saturday and then we had an ice storm/sleet Saturday night. The power went out around 6:30 a.m. Sunday. So in addition to being lousy weather for golf, I had to sit around in a dark cold house. Snow flurries currently flying around here this Monday morning and more rain and cold forec...

Signed for a 107 so that stands. No DQ for signing for a higher than actual number. :thumbs

Total guess on my part (i.e. I am not bothered enough to look it up): Inbee Park, Lexi Thompson, So Yeon Ryu and Brooke Henderson. What do I win?
A "hearty congratulations" for participating but providing the wrong info.

LPGA Winners - 4/1/2017 to 4/11/2018

Of course, I would have been woefully wrong without the benefit of LPGA.com I was actually surprised by a few of the women who had notched more than one win. And yes, 4/1/2017 is an arbitrary date, mainly designed to make this difficult (without resorting to the internet).

BK's Nature Corner

We see and find all sorts of interesting "stuff" while playing golf. Today the below item was waiting for me on #4 tee. The golf ball is to show the relative size and is not an advertisement for Cool Insurance Agency (Latham, NY).

Well, my best drive Sunday was 205 yards and I shot 88. My days as an "8-9" handicap are numbered. :fkno

Re: 2018 The Masters Tournament

I played Sunday in 37 degree, breezy weather. Got stuck in a major traffic jam going home. The highway was closed because of a fatal accident caused by a wrong way driver. Finally tuned in just after Spieth holed a long putt to go to 13 under. Things were really heating up when he canned that putt o...

Re: 2018 Winter Season Support Group

Well, things have been swell here with the never ending Winter for the Frozen Mitten. A year ago I played my 15th round of golf for 2017 on March 30. Fast forward to 2018 and I played my 5th round of 2018 on March 30. I drove to work today in snow flurries and the wind is howling. The 10 day extende...

My vote went to Jordan Spieth but all I really want is a competitive tournament with a "name" winner. No Trevor Immelman's or Charles Coody's need apply.

Thank you gentleman. It was an anomaly because, as LB correctly noted, I was not hitting the ball particularly well. In this instance, at 125 yards, I managed to make a nice strike. I thought the ball was going to be close and it looked like it hit on the front on the green and released a few feet t...

P.S. you don't know that AA would've treated Justin Rose the same way. That is a colossal, gaping assumption, Jack. I believe the person fielding the call for a lost set of golf clubs would have treated me, In-Kyung Kim and Justin Rose basically the same. People who know next to nothing about golf ...

We flew to Phoenix & back last week for our company annual meeting. Work, work, work! On the way over I watched "Coco", the animated Pixar film. I really enjoyed the movie and, to my chagrin, cried twice while watching a cartoon. :facepalm What can I say, I wear my emotions on my sleeve and tend to ...

Re: 2018 Winter Season Support Group

Right now I am a bit agitated. We are in the last week of March and I have not played a single hole of golf in Michigan this month. My epic streak is potentially in jeopardy (although you can make a safe bet I WILL be out playing before Sunday). I never would have thought I would play more in Februa...
