Re: Autumn Support Group Thread

I am driving the ball as well as ever right now. Go figure. 45 degrees today and I hit at least 6 or 7 drives as long as I can remember hitting on those holes even in summer temps. Drawing nearly everything, except when I hook. No fades to speak of. Iron play has also been very good. I am not losing...

Re: Forum Software update

Good job boss! :thumbs ETA: Run your mouse along the Christmas lights! That's been keeping me busy since the lights went up! It's boring hanging out in here otherwise. Very few visitors. So have to keep myself entertained. Running along the row of lights with my cursor is addicting. It's like I can...

I love breaking the Christmas lights along the top of the page. I can't help myself. It's fun. I'm bored.

Re: Autumn Support Group Thread

Not sure about it beating west coast weather (albeit, without the fires), but I will take what the forecast is showing for next week here and try to run with it. 46* Sunday, 53* Monday, 56* Tuesday, then high 40s for a couple days and back in the 50s Friday. If that holds true, I plan to get in 4 or...

Re: Practicing golf at home!

Okay, I have mentioned this AlmostGolf ball a few times over the years, as well as earlier in this thread, but thought it would be good to show it here to give those of you looking for a way to stay sharp over the winter a bit more info on it. Here's a YouTube video (there are tons on line) which wi...

Re: Forum Software update

Great. Now can we please get back to some golf talk? I'm going stir crazy here, with 20-something degree temps outside and no golf, and no one even talking about it here on this site. Am I going to have to re-publish my Christmas Golf Story again? Don't tempt me. Let's start talking golf. Please don...

Re: Forum Software update

Wow, I made it to here. Not sure how, as I still can't see anything without open menus blocking everything, while the main page is still covered in the circle icons of read or unread posts. I need a transfusion or something. I think I'm gonna have a panic attack. I need my LegitimateGolf forums, qui...

Better move your clubs away from the oak and out of harm's way, just in case.

Re: December Golf!!!

Weather forecast for 20-30 mph winds today and high temps in the low 40s this afternoon. Tonight, wind chills in the single-digits. Frigid tomorrow. Low 30s Thursday and Friday. Damn! The clock is ticking and I am itching to get back out there.

Re: December Golf!!!

I don't think December will be friendly enough to get in enough rounds to reach 200 rounds (of which most were 18 hole rounds, but there are at least 20 9-hole rounds included in there too). I started the month with 182 rounds in 2017. I reached 190 today with a nine hole round after playing a round...

Light snow here in MD this morning. Not happy. :fk

Re: December Golf!!!

What is the rule on putting "hand warmers" in your underwear? As long as you don't put any golf balls down "there" to warm them up against the handwarmers, you're safe. Or you can put all the golfballs you want down there if there are no handwarmers there too. Either way, sounds like you might enjo...

Re: How far do you have to travel to your home course?

1 minute. Max.

I can hit a driver from my front yard to the 12th fairway.
(However, the guy who lives in the house between my front yard and the 12th fairway might not like me to try it.)

Re: December Golf!!!

Just played my 6th round in December today, and it's only December 6th! And, most of those rounds included some of the best ballstriking I've had all year. Looks like a December to remember.

BTW, only 15 days until the days start getting longer.

BK, I hope you have reason to pull them out of the basement long before March! C'mon el Nino/Nina (whichever the good one is)!

Maybe now that your clubs are hibernating, you'll have more free time to be here on LG. I will be looking forward to your posts, as always.

Re: Winter Golf: tips and tricks

Rarely wear my FJ rainpants unless it's raining (or was raining and I just hadn't gotten around to taking them off). My legs never seem to get cold like my core does in cold weather, as long as I have my compression tights on. However, I do wear my FJ rain jackets and/or rainshirts as everyday golf ...

Re: Winter Golf: tips and tricks

Let's see, winter tips/tricks, hmmm, what do I have in my bag? :school 1) Most of you have heard my trick of heating the balls up and keeping them wrapped in foil and stored in the thermal pocket of your golf bag. Hitting warm balls off the first few tees can help get you off to a good start. (Don't...

I know it's too early to get too excited, but nothing would make me happier than to see Tiger shut down all those who said he was washed up and wanted him to just go away. Those with no appreciation for what he did for golf, or how he dominated the game. I want to see some crow eaten. Are a few more...

Okay, today was a special day out there for me. I had a first. Have never seen anyone do what I accomplished today which I'll get to in a sec. I have been playing well of late and it continued today, for the 4th day in a row. Played the front nine (the tougher of the two nines) twice 'cause it was t...

Sounds like, in the end, you still have 9.99 fingers intact. (That's assuming all others are still connected and complete.) Coulda been a lot worse. Glad you are back to working on your game.
