Re: WTF did you shoot today?

Brian, that is impressive at that yardage. Actually, that is impressive in tournament play at any yardage. You've got my respect. Well done.

Re: 2018 LPGA thread

Thidapa Suwannapura, WORTHINGTON MANOR regular, WINS the LPGA Marathon Classic in a playoff over Brittney Lincicome! So proud of her, even though she has held me up on the course once or twice playing in the group ahead. I guess I can cut her some slack now. She has now qualified for the Women's Bri...

Re: Shohei Ohtani

I miss baseball. Since I moved to Maryland, I can no longer get the Mets on TV daily. Instead I get the Nationals, the enemies of the Mets. No interest in watching them. As a result I have lost contact with the baseball world over the last few years. I don't know any of the new players, or who has b...

That's the Long Island I know. Hate that place. The whole fucking island, the shit-ass attitude and the Long Island accents that go along with it. I'm with you Beef. Alright, well, maybe everyone who lives there isn't THAT bad, but I'm pretty sure all most of those who support that orange-faced, nar...

92. No birdies. 4 penalties. Swing worked. Course just tough.

Re: 2018 summer support group

I don't know if the slump is over because one good round does not mean much. But, today, my boys from CT arrived and I proceeded to play like I know I can. Shot a 76 from the blue tees. 2 of them played the white tees. None of them broke 90. If nothing else, I no longer feel I have to prove to them ...

Re: 2018 summer support group

Rough week out there, between the heat wave and my deep golf slump. Did not really enjoy my time on the course. Have not been playing true rounds the last 4 or 5 times out, but more just hitting shots trying to figure out what is wrong, while trying to enjoy those with whom I'm playing. My blond and...

Re: The World Famous Sir Nicholas Alexander Faldo Early Wrist-set Drill

For now I have moved on from an early-set feel. Doesn't diminish my appreciation for it, or this drill at all. I was a wayward soul, and it set me on the straight and narrow. I will still shout about it from the rooftop. Recently I am having more of a gradual set feel--takeaway feels more one-piece...

Re: 23 years 3 months 16 days

You got off cheaply. Sounds like luck was on your side not only for the ace (not that skill wasn't also involved), but for the fact that the bar at the course couldn't serve liquor 'til noon. It would have been a much bigger tab if it was full of golfers. No one knew at Twin Peaks. Or at least, no o...

So, in the end, what'd it cost you in the bar? (Not counting my Stoli/Cranberry.)

Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread

I have a good feeling about The Open and Tiger. I'd have an even better feeling if he did some serious pre-tournament recon. Personally, I think he should take his two kids for a two-week vacation over to Scotland and do some sight-seeing, feel good about the fam.....and play 8 or 9 rounds of golf a...

Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread

Molinari's ballstriking was unbelievable. He deserved the win, hands down. 8 or 9 strokes ahead of 2nd place. Yet, Tiger hit the ball extremely well too. If he made all those putts that lipped out, he would have finished a close second. A T4 finish, while having nearly the worst putting stats in the...

Re: 2018 summer support group

Different here, I guess. I just looked at tee time availability for the rest of today at WM. Over the next 6 hours, until 7:30 pm, it's pretty much wide open. As of this moment, there are only 7 tee times which have 2 or more people scheduled, out of 36 potential tee times. This is not typical on a ...

Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread

Tiger is playing well. -5 through 16 holes. Are you watching Jason? I am watching on PGA Tour Live. I have a subscribtion for another week. But just lost connection for some reason. I also have Tiger Tracker on Golf Channel working, so not missing a shot. If you are watching, what are you watching o...

Re: 2018 summer support group

That might keep the crowds down. You might want to play. If you can handle 35* temps, then you can do 95*. Go late afternoon. Best time to get through nine or 18 quickly. (Also the hottest part of the day, but sacrifices must sometimes be made.)

Re: 2018 LPGA thread

My favorite part of this so-called tournament is when they drag out Mickelson's ass and put him in some commercials where they use green screen technology to make it look like he actually gives a shit about women's golf, or knows who Stacy Lewis is. Actually, I've seen Phil play golf with Stacey a ...

Re: 2018 summer support group

Said I was going to take a day or two off, and I did. But, it didn't help. Nothing is working. Confidence is eroding. Started yesterday's round birdie/birdie. Thought things might be better. Nope. Ended with an 87. Ouch! Just not comfortable out there right now. The worse it gets, the worse it gets....

Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread

Just took a gander at the Quicken Loans field (Tiger's tournament) for this upcoming weekend here in the DC area at TPC Potomac at Avenell Farm . I was planning to go one day to see Tiger. I was thinking perhaps Friday, just to make sure he is still playing and hasn't missed the cut yet. Tickets are...

Re: 2018 summer support group

I'm in putz-mode right now. Taking a day or two off to maybe change the algorithm (and give my aging, overused muscles a break). I hope you can stay in hero-mode for awhile. I know it isn't easy BK, but it sure is satisfying (and confidence-building) while it lasts.

Re: WTF did you shoot today?

Golf is cruel, totally cruel. This is how today's round started: 1. Good drive, good 9i but needed an 8i, chip, make nice curling putt for par. 2. Good drive but slipped on the approach shot. Even though I hit the shot on one leg almost falling down, hit it to pin high just 30 yards left. Pitched t...
