Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread
Did you guys hear about the RBC Heritage tournament over the weekend? Of course you didn't! That's because an unknown Japanese and a barely-known Korean played off for the title. :gay Yes I did. And the barely known Korean had won the Players (was it last year or the year before, I can't remember)....

Re: Need advice for bag/cart sound issue
I rented a half-decent Sun Mountain pushcart a few weeks ago in Montauk and I would say the energy expenditure is way(yyy) less than carrying. Downhills for example, you can push the thing and let it roll on down by itself. Whereas carrying you never, ever get to let gravity or momentum do any of t...

Re: Need advice for bag/cart sound issue
I tried carrying a couple of times years ago and never liked it, partly because the strain on the lower back and partly because of the chatter (some people do like that part!). I went for a push cart and then since it makes so sense for the bag to have legs as I am not carrying, also went for a cart...

Re: Buddy Trip 2018
Don't you dare quitting! Chipping and pitching is not that difficult but you have to have the proper technique. It took me years, as in 8-10 years, to figure this out. I just wish I had looked for good advice (or God forbid, taken a lesson!) way sooner. I still blade one occasionally, but it's rare ...

Total guess on my part (i.e. I am not bothered enough to look it up): Inbee Park, Lexi Thompson, So Yeon Ryu and Brooke Henderson. What do I win?

Re: Buddy Trip 2018
Just took a 7 on a 155y par 3 from 19 yards off the green. Two skilled chips zig zag over the green. I cannot chip. It’s either bladed or chunked. I missed the ball a few times today also. However from 100-125 yards I’m all over the flag with well struck full swings. My long game is okay. Basically...

Re: How far do you really hit the ball.
I am typically between 210 and 230 (at sea level), with the odd one going to 250 or even longer. I voted 220-230 but could have voted 200-200 just as well. I never really understood what made such big difference possible. I mean sure, I know why I managed to hit a few over 300 yards in the summer, o...

Re: 2018 The Masters Tournament
I am happy for srogers13 who won his bet at 50-1 (I had misread that he supported Rory and Stenson, in a reply post to mine, when there was indeed a post earlier when he mentioned Reed and Fleetwood, and his reply was not to me...). Other than that, meh... I don't particularly like Reed. Maybe he'll...

Kuchar, Fowler, Casey. I believe they all came in 2nd, some multiple times... Rickie was real close yesterday with that last putt on 18 (and the pressure that Reed must have felt to 2-putt from a ways above the hole).

Re: Who will win the Masters 2018?
Ok, Reed is in the lead, but does anyone else but me sense the call of history for Rory? What a great round by him today, complete with a little bit of (good) luck. And Stenson is still there, on the first page of the leaderboard. Great final round coming tomorrow! And @srogers13, as you have a ride...

Re: Who will win the Masters 2018?
Well, round 1 is in the books: Spieth did great, both Stenson and Rory did good (and having both of them there at -3 make me feel pretty good about my picks) and Tiger did ok at +1. He's not out of it by any means and had some terrific shots and also some stinkers. Get rid of those and you might hav...

Re: Why do you take so long to hit the goddamn ball?
Completely agreed. I played yesterday with a guy like that, on a slow day to begin with (the 5-some in front of us was not particularly quick and had over 1 hole open in front of them by the time they got to 16). The round took over 5 hours on an easy, flat, muni. Why? I ask. Why? I mentioned to Mr....

Re: Who will win the Masters 2018?
Ok, I took the plunge and took both of them at 50-1 to win and 8-1 to finish top 5. Both had the same odds. As in you actually put money on the line? In Vegas? Remotely? Forgive me, I am not a gambler: I spend a few $$$ in person at the tables (blackjack) or slots when I am there in person, but hav...

Re: 2018 The Masters Tournament
The thing about Stenson that I am shaky on is that he is going to try to rely more on a driver this week. There is a reason he hits so many three woods, and it is not just because he is long with it. You may be right that he will, but I don't think he needs to. His 3 wood is very long as you know, ...

Re: Who will win the Masters 2018?
I voted Rory, but I would like Stenson to win it. Two of the best ball strikers on the planet. If their putter works this week, watch out.

Re: 2018 The Masters Tournament
Thanks Beef for that video. I thought it was pretty damn good, all of them, but the best were as Doug said.
I like Rory's chances if he can keep his putter hot. And I like Stenson too. Now, if Tiger is even in contention (say top 5) on Sunday, that would be amazing!

Sorry, I don't have access to that link (I never signed on at skygolf.com) and it dumps me onto a meaningless page of "recent" scores which all have a date well into the future, from 2022 to 2035! Same old crap related to not curating/sanitizing their data. :fk Anyhoo, congrats are in order to BK, f...

Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread
I like all kinds of cookies, with no milk (and no milk in my coffee either...). And although I am not as hardcore a fan as Doug is, I DVR every PGA Tour round, some of European Tour (mostly Dubai and Asia) and try to watch portions of them. Sometimes, things get in the way, including actual golf, an...
