Re: 2018 The Masters Tournament
He won't dare because he won it. He's already bitched plenty about Augusta before that.

I'd like to see JT get it done. Reed would be fun to see too.

Re: Who will win the Masters 2018?
Oh, i'm sure you're seeing that spillover a ton. Monday was PACKED for a practice round. Went to the clubhouse first to buy stuff, and it was shoulder to shoulder in there. You're so excited to go in there and waste a ton of money, then once you finally get in, you're immediately want to get out.

Re: The Tiger Thread
Tiger looking extremely good in his practice round with Phil and Freddie Couples. He's had 2 eagles already. 3 if you count yesterday's chip in at #2 It was a great chip, but blown a little out of proportion. He drove it into the fairway bunker, and pulled it out of there before hitting over the gr...

That's cool and all, but the weather down here literally turned to spring this week, and The Masters is about to start. Think i'll go ahead and continue not giving a shit about #thedinah

What's your take on The Leftovers? It's one of my all-time favorite shows, but it kind of flew under the radar with very limited viewership.

Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread
I think this is pretty accurate and there are only a select few real 'golf fans' (DougE included). I'm certainly not one of them. I watch golf on a weekend when there's literally nothing else to do. I'll watch the majors, especially the Master, and the Ryder Cup. But other than that, i don't really ...

Looks like sabbatini is getting a vote from everyone so far, and he's been irrelevant for years.

Bubba, Bryson, and Sabbatini.
Bubba has always come across as just the worst type of human being; everything he does rubs me the wrong way.
Bryson just has his special pretentious methodology behind everything that gets annoying.
Sabbatini, just a shitty attitude.

Sounds like she worked at a pretty private course (at least that's what i got out of it). I'd assume the ratio of normal human being to complete douchebag could different there than where i generally play.

That's right, make them play on OUR level (at least thats how a lot of my courses are already set up.)jasonfish11 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 13, 2018 5:00 pmIt would be better if bunkers were really less consistent around the course one rock hard one soft, etc. Then they would be more of a true hazard.

There's also the new drop procedure, from knee height. :fuckall Pussification of the world. :nope I think the new drop can actually prove the opposite. After two shitty drops you get to place it anyway. At least this way there's a better chance of the ball settling down instead of bouncing out and ...

He looked really good this weekend. I actually saw some golf since the weather was so shitty in Atlanta the whole weekend. His gallery on the other hand, needs to stfu...seriously. Holy shit they're obnoxious. At this point, outside of majors, golf on TV may better be enjoyed on mute.

I'm still not convinced he's 'back.'
He's playing well, oh. my. god. i get it. Doesn't mean he's going to take the tour by storm again though.

But i'm too old to figure that out.

I get it, i'm completely in the wrong to not root for him. I've plead my case and lost. Apparently i have forgotten that 10 years ago he was amazing, and his playing potential well into his 60's will still be better than everyone on tour. I clearly have no respect for the game, nor for what he's don...

Re: Random golf thoughts
Or another (probably stupid, but here goes) idea: ban the driver for the pros, as part of the hard card for the USGA, R&A and PGA Tour. It seems that most of them have a 3 wood that goes 280 or so, or maybe a bit more. Voila: problem solved. No need for a rule change or anything. It's just a condit...
