Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread

Exactly. I have been saying this (and probably have here on this site at some time or another) for years. Not only did architects not ever imagine speeds this fast, there was no equipment capable of cutting it that short or rolling it that smooth. So what type of equipment did you use? Did it use g...

Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread

I saw someone was talking to one of the local caddies after the 1st round, and he was asked what do the members do when the wind blows out of the direction that it blew in the 1st round, and his reply was that they played cards.

Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread

Missed the Fowler and Fleetwood win bet, but did get Fleetwood before the tourney at 8-1 for Top 5. :thrust :yess

Preliminary look for Brit Open is Fleetwood at 28-1 to win.

I've proposed all along that Mickelson is an ordinary prick, and now he's just proven it.
I disagree, he proved he is an extraordinary prick.

Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread

My preliminary picks for the US Open are leaning towards Fowler at 18-1 and Fleetwood at 40-1 to win.

I can't remember the name off of the top of my head, but I seem to remember a player like seven months pregnant almost winning the US Women's Open several years ago.

Golf? In this weather? Who in their right mind would actually want to do that? There is a word for any people who, in the face of 90 degree temperatures and 90% humidity, would force others to wear collared shirts, and khaki shorts, and belts, and to tuck those shirts into the stupid shorts, and th...

The course is usually grade-A, but Alberto screwed things up for them playing earlier in the year due to them playing in Hellabama.

I am surprised how many people do not realize how good you can play in decent golf rain gear. But does not break my heart.

I was at work, opened the app, and saw he was -11 for the round after 16. I went upstairs to talk to one of my golf playing managers, and joking around said he was probably going to put two in the water on 17. Damned if he did not proceed to rinse one.

Yes, but don't ask me how...lol. But if you ever get in depth reading about the pros, you hear about how they(or have the trailer guys for the manufacturers)do a lot of funky things with their wedges to get them the way they like them.

Re: WTF did you shoot today?

OK, shot a hohum 88 with a differential of 12.0 at RTJ Cambrian Ridge. But I do sympathise with what Tiger said was his problem yesterday; the greens were firm (never really left a ball mark), could not really stop a ball on an approach shot, then the greens were running slow. I left a lot of putts ...

How crowded was the course today? Could have just been a lot of hot air being expunged.

Re: Wedge Finish Choices

I am not one that cared per se about the finish on my Cleveland wedges, but I did get a different finish on each wedge. The main reason I did that was so I would notice if I was grabbing the wrong wedge. My black wedge is my 60* wedge, raw finish is my 56* sand wedge, and tour finish is my 50* gap w...

My problem was I heard about the tournament before it came on, since they started early. So I already knew the outcome, by the time they started the tape delayed coverage, I could not watch without the drama of not knowing.

You are probably forgetting to add the amount of walking you do while riding a cart, especially around the greens.

I had to go to the office today, and I have a tee ball game tonight (well not me my son). So I won't be able to use it until late tonight.
Well, you do hit balls off of a tee, so in a sense you do have a tee ball game tonight, if you can stay awake.

Another amazing thing is that if he waited another year or two to come to America, he would have been able to command MILLION$ more dollars. But because of his age and the rules, he is not making much more than minimum. But he decided he wanted to come over anyways.
