... I'm okay with 196 rounds. At least it's not 199 and only one single little round short. That would hurt.
That is a good way to look at this situation and similar ones.

Re: '19-'20 Winter Support Group Thread

My dad played bayhill the day I was born. I was born around 4am he had an 8:30 tee time (was a member there then). At 7 both my mom and I were sleeping so he just headed out with his brother to play. When he told me that story my wife was sitting next to me and 8 months pregnant. She gave me a look ...

Re: The Grumble Thread

My issue with the USGA is they've made a ton of really stupid decisions over the last 5-10 years. They seem to make decisions on an emotional level and not a fact based level.

Re: The Grumble Thread

Someone should ask them for a copy of their 990 return (as a non-profit they are obligated to give it to you if you ask). I'll run through it and see if there is any dirt. It should indicate lots of things, like where the money goes, who is getting paid how much, and a few other things. I use to fil...

Re: Stocks, Mutual Funds or ETF's? Hedge Funds? Real Estate - Where Do You Invest?

One thing I've seen happening recently is a war on fees. This is ok as long as people are looking at the fund results as well, but a lot of people aren't. They just hear that low fees are better. There is a popular 0 fee etf out there. The way the fund company makes money is that in the fine print i...

I guess to be fair BTC is more functional than investing for me. It makes online poker transactions a lot easier.

Re: Stocks, Mutual Funds or ETF's? Hedge Funds? Real Estate - Where Do You Invest?

In honesty I have a ton to say on this subject and love talking to people about investing because I've been very interested in investing and subsequently quitting the standard work before the age of 40 since I started working. That said I think a few people on here know that I work for a mutual fund...

Re: 2019 Fall Support Group Thread

A big problem for golf in these parts right now is fallen leaves. Crap I wish that was the big problem here. For shits and giggles I pulled into the course across from where I live the weekend before last. It was a balmy 52* with 10-15mph winds and the parking lot was nearly full. The problem here ...

Doug you got this. Maybe a few days where you can put in 27 or 36 holes now that it's not sweltering hot.

200 rounds is your goal, get on it.

58 should be "BUSTIN' OUT"
54 should be "THE SHOW"

Feel free to substitute any other Doug E Fresh song title that might work. The next most appropriate might be "BOUNCE"

Re: Simulator for sale

In my opinion if someone really wants to get as good as possible this is a must have. Just using it for wedges and really knowing your wedge distances is amazing. For a very serious golfer if I were rating how beneficial things (outside of clubs and balls) are I'd rate a simulator #2 only behind las...

Long story short my golfing motivation has drastically changed over the last year.

I was enjoying it and in my opinion it's an amazing tool if you want to get better. Specially with wedges (distance control).

Also if you only want the simulator and case I'd let you all have it for $1350. I know they sell frequently on eBay/golfwrx for $1500-$1600
