Re: February Golf.

To be fair I still think 42 degrees in Florida is colder than 35 degrees in Nashville. Now in Virginia Beach it's the same wet air as Florida. So 35 is cold.

Re: New from Titleist

Doug I'm just pulling your leg. I don't thing mg balls are better than prov's. I just think the cost difference actually justify the quality difference.

Re: WTF did you buy today?

Everything beef said. Although I use tape. But it's painters tape so I can build up a couple wraps. The best thing is I don't have to re-wrap it when I pull the old grip off.

I can't remember ever splitting the cover on a ball before.

Re: New from Titleist

I've never done this to one of my mg c4s before haha.

I also find it funny that I use the expensive balls I find to hit into my net.

Re: February Golf.

I'm working from home today and decided to go to the range on my lunch break because it is 76 and sunny outside. Ultimately it was a poor choice. I hadn't eaten anything since breakfast, and the ground was extremely wet. Those combined for me not feeling it very well. My muscles just weren't coopera...

Re: Just Keep Swimming

So I've been working on the pull hook issues I had over the last couple of weeks. After some review of everything I've concluded it's coming from a more vertical back swing which has me coming "over the top" in the downswing. But I'm coming OTT with a shut face. I've been fighting to get my back swi...

So this was step 1 in getting another person to the moon, and potentially getting someone to Mars.

Other than that I kind of agree with you.

Re: Random youtube thread

Yeah I admit that has to be one of the more amazing things I've seen.

My dad texted me to state how amazing it was for him and he was an engineer on the original space shuttle back in the 80s. He mentioned that returning boosters like that was just a pipe dream back then.

Re: Membership opportunity at my club

I actually have trouble hitting indoors on a simulator, into a net. I don't swing the same way as I do on the course. There is a certain something lacking in the surroundings that affects my ability to swing freely. Not sure why. And I like to see what the ball actually does, not what a computer te...

Re: Driver Confessions

So to be clear to me the discussion isn't fade v. draw. I don't see a problem with either for anyone, both have benefits and I see that question as a personal one.

The discussion I brought up is both fade & draw v. either fade or draw.

But to be fair to GBOGEY I derailed his topic.

I believe people like myself suck by and large due to the quality of our swings, not our decisions.
I agree, but it makes me ask the question...

Why try to work on 2 different swings? Why not just attempt to get less sucky with 1 swing?

Re: Driver Confessions

I'm with you. I cut the ball, and feel pretty comfortable no matter where the hazard is that i can keep it in play. If a hazard on the right is really going to deter a driver that cuts, then i'll go 3w or hybrid. There's no way i'm going to attempt a draw with driver on one hole per course if it's ...

Re: Driver Confessions

Kind of funny. I like hitting a cut, and I prefer the hazard to be on the right side of the course. I feel more comfortable aiming left and moving the ball towards the hazard. So baring some tall trees or a 2nd hazard on the left preventing me from taking that approach, I would feel comfortable with...

Re: Driver Confessions

I'm a big fan of playing one ball flight with driver. It's very rare that a course will prevent you from hitting one shot more than once. Yes splitting it does help, but I was once told (by a former PGA tour pro) "only 10 guys in the world are good enough to move driver both ways consistantly, are y...

Wow. This place is really dead. Not one post in nearly 24 hours. How can we get winter season support if there is no one here to support us? I check in multiple times a day, so if you need some help and can deal with one of my long-winded responses, I'm here for you. If nothing else, it might put y...

Re: 2018 Winter Season Support Group

Teed off it was 36 degrees, and when I finished it was 33. I shot terribly and 18 broke my streak of 9 straight bogies. Thanks to a 160 yard 8i over the green in 33 degree weather. WTF, I don't hit 8i that far in 70 degree weather. www.gamegolf.com/player/jasonfish11/round/2000360 Highlight of the d...

Oh man I just read it took them over 5 min for security to stop him. That's terrible, JB Holmes could have laid up in that amount of time.

But I agree with Beef. Let the man have his 15 seconds (or 5 min) before hauling him off to jail.

Maybe it's a generational thing. Not sure how Beef fits into that theory. (He's not a Baby Boomer.)
