Re: Random golf thoughts

How many rounds are you talking about?

3 or 4 bad rounds with him over the last 6 months? If so maybe it's just variance.

Or do you play with him frequently (10+ times over the summer). Then maybe he does affect your game.

Re: Just Keep Swimming

The more I mess with this the more I realize it's not really a swing to the "left". It's a flattening off my shoulder plane, which feels like I'm swinging left. So far I've hit a lot of balls with this thought of having my left shoulder rotate behind my neck on a flat plane. I know it's not actually...

Don't see or hear about anyone else sweating through multiple shirts per round.
Would a story about Chez Reavie changing shirts 2 or 3 times in a round generate any interest?

Re: The Tiger Thread

Can you imagine what could be if he was able to rectify his tee shot issues once and for all? Imagine a 2 man scramble with him and Rory. It wouldn't need to be a scramble per say, more just let Rory hit the tee shot and Tiger take it from there in. His driving has been that way his entire career. ...

Re: The Tiger Thread

He's committed to the first 2 playoff events. And mathematically I'm not sure its possible for him to not be in the 3rd one right now.

So it looks like at least 3 more events then the Ryder cup. Potentially 5 of the next 7/8 weeks.

Re: The Tiger Thread

It sure was fun to watch! Think about it: another half inch for that putt to fall in and a little less pace for that putt to not lip out and we are talking about a playoff, even wih the drive on 17 and all the missed fairways. That's pretty incredible. Don't forget #1 where the putt was tracking de...

Re: The Tiger Thread

After the 2nd round the number in my head was -15 for outright win and -14 for a playoff. Tiger went out and did what he needed to do, low round of the day with all that pressure on him. Keopka just went out and won it. He kept hitting the shot he needed to hit. That shot on #16 and that drive on #1...

Re: The Tiger Thread

Other than media who are simply trying to produce clicks or views who is actually debating putting him in the Ryder cup?

If he doesn't get picked it's because he told fyruk to not pick him and he only wants to play if he can play his way in.

Not sure I can put in the new grout after that wedge into #3.

Wow hits every gir from 11-18 and pars them all, with one 3 putt.

So gross, if he just makes two of them he's in the final grouping.

Re: Just Keep Swimming

My practice swing to keep the feel of not dropping my shoulder is to pretend I'm hitting a ball outside of my left foot. It kind of resembles tigers practice swings where he exits way left.

Re: Just Keep Swimming

So big struggles going on right now with me. My right shoulder is dropping in transition bringing my swing way under the plane. Hooks blocks fats and thins galore. Been working on keeping my right shoulder "above" the ball it's a real struggle, but when I get it I'm back to hitting a little fade whi...

Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread

Ok so I just found out that he shot 71 by putting lights out. To me this is less impressive than great ball striking because there is so much variance in putting. He gained 2.2 strokes against the field putting and that included 2 3-putts (well 1 was from the fringe, so technically that didn't count...

Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread

So we don't have a web.com thread and I don't see a point in starting one.

Just have to say I'm really impressed with Steph Curries golf game. He could probably quit basketball dedicte himself to golf and be making cuts on the web.com tour in a couple years.

Re: 2018 summer support group

Not trying to sway your thoughts at all. At first I didn't like hitting indoors as much as outdoors, but now that I've done it I really prefer it. For me I'm still playing golf swing, it's so much easier for me to do that on a simulator. Once I get more into playing golf (god I hope that is sooner r...

Re: The Tiger Thread

I love the media around Tiger (or really any big figure for any industry). Earlier this year "Tiger's swing speed is 125+mph, this can't be good for his back. He would do better by dialing it back a notch or two." In the last week "Tiger's swing speed has gone down over the course of the year. Is th...

I think Beef's comments are less about what you wear, and more about what golfers are expected to wear. I'm with you Doug, I like my golf clothes to the point where I am hardly ever seen w/o a collared shirt on unless I'm doing yard work or going to the beach, pool or water park. I can't find many t...

Re: 2018 summer support group

I finding Southerners, who are overly social, seem to be less social on the course than Yankees which is very perplexing. So from my stint in Nashville I found that the "welcoming" nature in the south is just a joke. People aren't open and super social to others. Well unless you go to their church ...

So I was going to watch the back 9. Decided to go to the range and work on my golf swing. Nostradamus I am not. Although I could have taken a page out of his book and just predicted something vague.
