I have no clue why my club face is so closed
I hate to bring this up but I would feel remiss if I didn't at least suggest that maybe it's a habit picked up while whacking bawlz into a net.
This has crossed my mind too.

Re: January Golf!

So 36 holes this weekend. The first round was changed to a 2 man scramble due to snow on the course still. How long should a 2 man scramble take when no one else is on the course but our group of 20 teams? Apparently just under 5:45. :fk The next day was a shamble, this one was a speedy 5:25 to fini...

Re: January Golf!

Are you saying SI is a "shithole" and it shouldn't be included with your city?

Hmmm that sounds familiar, can't quite put my finger on it though... :rofl

Re: January Golf!

I looked outside and the snow is already starting to fade away. I see large patches of grass again.

Re: January Golf!

I have 2 rounds planned this weekend as well. We got 1" or so yesterday but have temps in the 40's today and 50's tomorrow. So it should be fine. I have been hitting the ball into the net a lot recently but haven't seen the ball fly further than 4' since Christmas. Hopefully Friday morning I can get...

Suck on this winter.

And no the fan isn't a possible miss (although my wife hates it and is ok if I take it out accidentally).

Re: 2018 Winter Season Support Group

I just found out next Tuesday it's supposed to snow again. My mood instantly changed.

My 1/6 golf tournament got moved to 1/21, and there was another one scheduled for 1/20 already. If it snows again on Tuesday I'm going to be pretty fucking grumpy.

Most people don't want to read the unimportant crap that I normally think.

Besides isn't that what twitter is for.

"Heading to the gym #legday" - ugh seeing this turn into that shit would make me quit coming.

Re: 2018 Winter Season Support Group

So working from home today I cold hear sheets of snow/ice sliding off my roof when the temps got warmer. Each one I heard was like the sound of freedom, from this wintry hell. And to top it off we should get some rain in a couple hours, it's not supposed to get down to freezing tonight (close but no...

Re: 2018 Winter Season Support Group

Man this is my 3rd straight work day working from home. My son's daycare had a pipe burst and they didn't know until this morning when they opened the doors to 6" of water everywhere. Taking my to a different daycare for the rest of the week might put a dent in my ability to practice in the mornings

Re: 2018 Winter Season Support Group

The earth has been cooling ever since the cretatious period, we can blame the serapods for global warming.

I'm not sure if half the words in that sentence are spelled correctly.

Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread

I haven't been in a year or so. But my son loves it.

I'm amazed he "practiced" there. The golf balls go about 10 yards shorter than normal balls.

Re: 2018 Winter Season Support Group

It's hard to tell how much snow we got because the wind is nasty some places we have 10" and some we have 2". My guess is we already got 6" (the bottom cross beam on my fence is just above the snow) and it's still snowing. Although slower. My big issue is it rained/iced from 8pm to 11pm last night. ...

Re: 2018 Winter Season Support Group

So it has gotten so cold I can't hit balls in the garage comfortably (my garage door is insulated).

I have done enough testing and will likely be moving my Christmas present into the house over the next couple days. This weather is just gross.

Re: 2018 Winter Season Support Group

This sucks so bad. One of my co-workers is from Kamchatka about 100-200 miles from the coldest permanently inhabited town in the world.

She walked in today and said she feels like she is back home.

Re: 2018 Winter Season Support Group

I've hit a bunch of balls in my garage. If that helps.

I can always make a video add some commentary and post a video for you. But the high temps for 4 consecutive days here are still colder than I have my fridge set at. So I don't have much else for you.

In that price range it's likely a real feel (country club elite) mat. But they look a little different now unless the edges of that one are worn down from use.

Re: 2018 Winter Season Support Group

Can't stand simulators. To me, doesn't feel like golf at all. Rather play in the cold. Seriously, who can't hit good shots off a mat? Truth be told, haven't tried the newer sims, but the last time I hit off one, probably 5 or 6 years ago, on one that was 10 or 12 years old, it was certainly not vir...

Re: Breaking 80: What it means to you

So I'm kind of an odd ball. I don't "regularly" break 80 but when I'm playing well and hitting the ball well, I tend to go balls to the walls and attempt to go as low as possible. Example I had never broken par on any 9 and after a bad front side (42) earlier this year I stepped up to the 18th hole ...

Re: 2018 Winter Season Support Group

I talked to the super at my course and from my understanding once Bermuda goes dormant you can walk on it if it's frozen without killing it. The problem up here is bent grass never truly goes dormant and most courses here have bent grass greens. I know there are multiple types of Bermuda and don't k...
