Re: Just Keep Swimming

So hitting balls on the simulator recently lead to a revelation for me. I control my clubface with body rotation. It always made me scratch my head when I'm hitting a push and the fix is to turn harder. To me body rotation correlated to club path. It's because my entire life I've heard dumb commenta...

Re: Wedge Finish Choices

To be fair I guess my main concern is a cost/functionality ratio. I'll mentally create this number and generally pick the product with the lowest ratio.

Re: Wedge Finish Choices

I'm the person you don't care about a response from Doug. Sorry I'd like to help you but I know my response isn't what you want. I don't really care about looks with anything in my life. I care about functionality. That being said I don't want something that will make me puke when looking at it, I a...

Re: Just Keep Swimming

I keep getting amazed at how far I can hit the ball with what feels like a chipping type swing. I know "feel isn't real" and all that crap, but I hit the ball further with what to me feels like a 60-70% backswing than a full backswing. My new "full" backswing with a 7i still leaves the club short of...

Which brings me to Yani Tseng. Can a great golfer disappear faster? It is players like her that would make me worry if I were Lydia Ko.

Not buying it, we know it's yours. I don't see your wife having pink grips with a turquoise golf bag. I don't know her but I find that hard to believe.

Peter Rabbit: I was able to stay awake for the whole thing, barely. Mostly I just wanted to see what the hoopla was about regarding the "allergy bullying scene." My son has numerous food allergies so we just talked to him before the movie. It wasn't that bad and it aggravated me that people got thei...

Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread

To me the real issue is there is no off season for golf. No opportunity to miss it. So it leaves me not caring many times. If golf had a 6 month off season like other sports each week would be more interesting. But is the RBC Heritage really more important than the Valero Texas Open, or the John Dee...

Re: Just Keep Swimming

It's 14' in that room where I swing. It's 6' on the other side of the room. It's the room over the garage so the dimensions are odd.

But 10' to the fan. Luckily my wife doesn't like the fan so I'm not worried about taking it out.

Re: Just Keep Swimming

I think I'd be too nervous hitting inside the house even with a net. That's pretty sweet all the data it shows. I've read many places it takes 2-3 months to get the comfort to swing fully. Given I've been hitting in the room for that long before getting the monitor I haven't noticed it. But I was a...

Re: Need advice for bag/cart sound issue

To add a 190lb 40 year 5'8" man burns about 75 calories per hour doing nothing. Assuming I did this calculation right. https://www.fitnessblender.com/articles/calories-burned-at-rest-how-many-calories-do-i-burn-doing-nothing So that being said the calories burned breathing while riding in a cart for...

Re: Need advice for bag/cart sound issue

Ok here is why I question that data. According to the below article the calories burned over 4.5 hours of golf are as follows for a 190 lb person. Riding 1359 Pushing 1940 Carrying 2133 So essentially this is saying that 2/3 of the calories burned golfing are due to standard metabolic rate (resting ...

Re: Need advice for bag/cart sound issue

I agree with you beef. I don't know how they calculated the difference but I find pushing a cart much easier than carrying. I'd like to get to a point where I'm healthy/fit enough to carry every time I play but that isn't now. There is a retired guy I see at the driving range every morning when it's...

Haha right before. I'm old I fell asleep 2-3 hours before it was fully charged. This morning I got the App set up and ready to go and placed it where it needs to go. But I haven't hit any balls yet. I'm not sure how one would reach back and muffle the clubs while carrying with both straps over both shoulders ?
My bag/clubs just sticks out to the right. So I reach back and put my hand on my clubs like an arm rest of a chair (except the arm rest goes out to the right instead of forward).

Re: Need advice for bag/cart sound issue

I am with SJ. Not a big fan of carrying as it strains my lower back. So I use a push cart. If I had a really hilly course I'd probably consider getting one of the automatic push carts so that I could just focus on golf.

Most pro caddies use a bag w/ dual straps, at least the ones I see on TV do.
