Re: Best Shot of the Month
Been lucky enough with the weather to get out at least a couple times a week. Had some good shots but nothing spectacular till the other day. Around 50* and breezy. Started on 10. Ho hum 40 at the turn. Playing decently. Like any other round, giving shots away from short approaches but putting well...

Re: 2023-24 Winter golf support group thread
Sigh. Management had indicated a couple weeks ago that they might open Leslie Park on March 25. Our unseasonably warm dry weather has resulted in 85% of the local courses opening in March. We got 3 inches of snow Friday. This is the course as of this afternoon. Leslie_3_23_2024_1st_and_3rd_Fairways...

Re: PGA/LIV/DPW 2023
I am like a number of us (yes, a small number to start). I am fairly sure I have not watched a combined 30 minuts of golf in 2024. I wonder if I will summon up the interest to watch the Masters? If the weather is decent, I may take a pass on watching.

Re: 2023-24 Winter golf support group thread
It has been seasonably cold lately. Last round had been 3/15 and I was in danger of going golfless for a week!!! 🤮 By 2pm today is was 36 degrees but sunny and a breeze less than 10mph. I decided to give our city executive course (5,000 yards and par 67) a go. With my new season pass, it cost -0-. I...

Re: What did you shoot today?
About a week ago I flirted with shooting my age. Par 72 course and I was -1 through 16 holes. Managed to bogey both closing holes (where is the hand slapping the face emoji when I need it???). Ordinarily, a 73 would make me very happy, but not this time. I was back at the scene of my crime yesterday...

Re: Best Shot of the Month
February had only 3 rounds. My trip to Hilltop had some lovely shots and some horrendous ones. Lovliest was the 3-wood into the wind to the 187 yard par-3 green. Such a silken swing and I glanced up and a slight draw was headed for the hole. Stopped 10 feet away and I couldn't coax the ball into the...

Re: What did you shoot today?
Slogged around a little local course that was not too busy. 81 (par 70). Some good shots and some awful ones. Greens were incredibly slow and they were visibly "fuzzy." Still, it was a nice stroll in sunny 55 degree weather.

Re: 2024 - Club Memberships & Season Passes
Year before COVID, a club in our area did something like Matt's course. They sold a 2-year annual pass for $200. I think they did it again the next year. A couple of my thoughts were: a. the course was not especially walker friendly so the course may have anticipated a lot of cart revenue b. They ma...
