Re: Grumble Thread
Injured again. Completely new problem area for me. Left hip joint. No idea how I injured it, nor what exactly is the problem, but can barely walk. Been nearly three weeks since my last round of golf. Began to notice initial pain right after finishing up that round, not during it. I thought it would ...

Re: Things From The Golf Course
The pin flag in the background explains the whole situation. When the wind is up, seagulls always face into it when they are on the ground.

Re: womans golf
We are hosting a US Open MEN'S Qualifier in 10 days here at the Club at P.B Dye. I already know at least a few Korn Ferry guys will be there as well as a bunch of mini-Tour players. We hosted the same qualifier here last year, too. The course is one of the toughest in Maryland. Actually, it was list...

Re: What did you buy today?
... I'm sure @DougE will scold me for not changing wedges more often. Maybe it's something I have to think about. If you are playing 100 rounds or more with practice in between, you will see a dramatic difference in wedge spin over the period. Yet, from day to day, it's imperceptible. I try to refr...

Re: 2024 - Club Memberships & Season Passes
Or, is the $400 2-year pass not open to morning weekend play? That would make a lot more sense, though still a fantastic deal. Personally, I'd jump at a $400 two-year deal to play after 4pm midweek only, and still feel like I was stealing. As a member, I can only book a tee time 3 days in advance. ...

Re: 2024 - Club Memberships & Season Passes
Wow, 500 passes!!? I'd love to get a look at their P+L sheet to see how that's done. If that's the case, the weekend mornings must be somewhat taken up by players paying basically nothing to play, shutting out so many who aren't pass holders, who are willing to pay $60. Doing simple math, with the f...

Re: 2024 - Club Memberships & Season Passes
Matt, I don't understand how this can possibly be profitable. How does any golf course worth playing survive with a $400 two-season pass fee? Our morning foursome rate on a weekend is nearly $500 for one single foursome, for one single round! I am intimately familiar with the costs to run a high-end...

Re: 2024 - Club Memberships & Season Passes
We usually have no trouble filling our tee sheet every weekend day, in-season (weather-permitting), from open until 3pm. Our rates this year will be $120 weekend mornings and $100 after 1pm. As a result, we have been purposely limiting the pass holder plans we offer, especially those which allow for...
