Re: February Golf

It feels like late April out there. I don't like it obviously. My season is shrinking. Now I know how the polar bears feel.

Re: WTF did you shoot today?

+8 43 on the front nine at Marine Park with Ms. Beef. Everyone and their dad was out there today, spectacular weather. Instead of agonizing through 18 holes we decided to hit a couple buckets and then walk a leisurely nine--a sound, mature executive decision on my part. :up We both had fun and got g...

Today and tomorrow is the anomaly though. After that it's back to "normal". Doug this will be your golfiest February ever right? Get your rest while you can, not going to be many more bad weather days this season I predict.

A good article on "the human launch monitor" and the ball testing process. These gear companies get a whole lot more for their money than a famous name when they sign up Tiger Woods.

Wow Doug 27 rounds, I am proud of you. You represent us well. I needed a break too by the way. I declined to play this week on account of the wetness, which got a lot worse this week. I haven't enjoyed firm and fast conditions this whole season. Even the rough is still thick in spots. The times are ...

Like he picked it up in the back corner of a thrift store on his way to the course.
Seriously if I saw any random shlub on a course with this bag, I would feel pity and probably compelled to give em some of my stuff.

Here is one of the strangest, saddest golf bags you will ever see, and it belongs to one of the highest salaried athletes in the history of athletes. It's worth a look IMO.

I need to check it out I'm gonna have to watch again, can't stop thinking about it. I hear it might come back to the awesome art-house independent theater here. They expect people to buy into a story in which a man gains the unbelievable superpower of invisibility, only to then use it to stalk and harass some average looking woman, fuck that shit.

Re: WTF did you shoot today?

Shot a very mediocre 90. Need some serious work on basic chipping around the green, probably the most glaring deficit in my game currently. Based on this and how you described the previous round, I would recommend forcing yourself to stand closer to the ball. Like uncomfortably close. Not saying I ...

Coronavirus fallout has now claimed three LPGA tournaments in China, Singapore and Thailand. Now there will be a solid month of no LPGA golf right in the middle of the season. Thanks for nothing China, bunch of totalitarian knuckleheads.

Re: WTF did you shoot today?

Yesterday was some of the toughest conditions I ever played in. I started the round triple-triple-quad, I think. Horrorshow. Alternating between horrible muddy, watery fats and bone-jarring thins. There's a couple holes that are so wet that you fear to hit the ball too high or else it plugs into the...

About to leave for the boat. So cold today, gonna need my goose down bonnet. I am jealous, no matter how cold and wet it is in NYC. We continue to get the slow death of 1-2 inches of snow every day. Easy to shovel but impossible to play golf. I could use some of that right now. Save me from myself....
