Re: Anything, Dog

So last night I whipped up about two pounds' worth of beef, kale, sweet potato, rice stew for the mutt. Took me all of fifteen minutes to get everything in the cooker. Might have overcooked it a bit, for my liking at least. I tasted it, it was bland and tasted exactly like the ingredients. But like...

Re: '19-'20 Winter Support Group Thread

Briefly considered going out but there is a gale warning. With so many big trees around it doesn't feel quite safe. Besides I would have to bicycle 8 miles through the wind and the golf bag creates a ton of drag. Not in the mood for that shit right now.

Sorry Doug. I am a moron. My auto correct done f'd up the URL. It's probably time for a bit of self-reflection on my part.

Truly magnificent Golf Digest article from the pen of the man himself. It has been a while since he's done one of these, I believe the first since the comeback. I give Golf Digest so much crap but this here is real gold.

Re: '19-'20 Winter Support Group Thread

Feeling pretty dang California over here this weekend. Really feels like the climate is changing, the local climate at least. Feels silly now to make any association between NYC and harsh winters. Mild is more like it, with only occasional dips below freezing. Not like the NY tourism board needs it ...

Re: N.B.A.

Anyways I am actually happy for Lonzo Ball. Seems like he got what he needed going to a small market team. Maybe he is an alright guy after all. :breaking Might not even be him being in a small market as much as he is just not in LA around his dad. True. That guy has been extremely quiet lately.

Re: N.B.A.

The 2 best teams in basketball might be playing in the same arena next year. If you factor in baseball and football, I don't know if L.A. has ever been this dominant. Lonzo is downright blossoming in New Orleans and the Lakers are all of sudden a dominant force. They totally stifled Dallas last nig...

Mercury is climbing up near 70 today. I went out for a run, felt like I was part of some massive jog-a-thon. :fuckall

Hope you all are having fun playing 6-hour golf.

Re: Random golf thoughts

The Masters and the Open are the majorest events at the moment. US Open is somewhat in disarray right now and not as prestigious as it has been previously. Moving from NBC to Fox, from Johnny Miller to Azinger etc was a devastating downgrade, and besides that public simply don't respect the USGA muc...

Re: '19-'20 Winter Support Group Thread

60s here too and I am of course dreading it. Golf is completely out of the question. It is the general rabble that is going to piss me off. Bunch of generic dude bros in the streets wearing shorts and polos yelling and being stupid. Yep that is what goes on in New York City whenever it is nice out.

Re: WTF did you shoot today?

@legitimatebeef I'm sure the less-than-ideal conditions didn't help. They were brutal of course. However I still think the version of myself from 7-9 years ago would somehow find a way to kick the butt of the current version. I am so prone to big numbers nowadays. Maybe I just don't care like I use...

Re: January Golf!

The forum Xmas lights I can take or leave, but I do enjoy the falling snow appearing over photos such as Doug's.

We are going to throw out the tannenbaum by Saturday, at which time I'll take down the forum lights too. The snow I'll keep around through February.

Re: January Golf!

Chance to sneak out this afternoon, 42 degrees and light winds. :ohyeah Took this pic in my backyard at 4 pm. I'm guessing you'll see some of this soon yourself (without my dog). As a result of it, I DID NOT play today. :fk Tomorrow doesn't look playable either, obviously. Thursday 37* high with 20...

Re: WTF did you shoot today?

Snuck out yesterday. Once again failed to break 90 despite a full earnest effort. Still had a great time. Still suck but feel somehow like I am improving. That sounds awful delusional and probably is, since I used to score much better, with ease. What can you do but keep trying. The only real altern...

Happy new year, you lot. Am surprised to be feeling this but I am fairly gay about golf right now. Yea, the game is hard and improvement sometimes seems so far away, if not im-possible, but long as I am physically able, might as well keep this shit up.

Re: January Golf!

I was one of the first people to play golf in the new decade. It was brutal, 40 degrees with 25 mph winds, soft wet course. Barely broke a hundred. Fuck all. @legitimatebeef Seriously Beef, since you like to play when others won't, you really should consider a cart cover for those windy, cold days ...

This thread title reminds me of the mid 2000s when every other website tried to glom on to the success of Myspace.com. One could do a lot worse than Myswingissue.com IMO. :up
