Re: 2019 LPGA Tour

Nobody's a turncoat. Golf before country. And I just don't see how a golf fan with any self respect could with a straight face support such a motley crew of losers.

I am now fascinated by the DougE slump. At what point do we seek professional help?

Would love to see some real data, but it appeared to me that the ladies were much less generous at conceding putts than the men at Ryder Cup, but it also could have been a last day thing.

Re: Random golf thoughts

I give golfers collectively a lot of crap for um, sucking at golf. But you know what group of losers seems even worse at their chosen hobby? Skateboarders. Clanking their useless lives away. Sorry @Jfurr I know you used to skate. But I am currently dealing with a very irritating noise problem caused...

Re: 2019 summer support group

I am not ready for winter yet. Not because I like the heat - hell this is the hottest September I have ever experienced with heat indexes still over 100 - but the shorter days depress me. I LOVE getting out for 9 after work 1-2 days per week. That has been a fabulous part of the move. I think I hav...

Re: 2019 summer support group

Ha ha, thanks for sharing guys. Fish, you are probably going to become a golfing polar bear like me. It's not such a bad life. Maybe I have lost my marbles but I prefer it. Doug I honestly think you would benefit from heavy weightlifting slash powerlifting. It's not just about muscles, it's probably...

Re: 2019 summer support group

What the hell is the matter with you all. I'm not scolding or anything, just wondering why everyone is acting all depressed lately, as if they don't give a shit about golf or life in general. Speak up. There is nothing wrong whatsoever with admitting you have a problem.

Well, the teams are in Scotland. I am underwhelmed by the collective accomplishments of both teams over the past 2 years.
This is an exhibition... of how mediocre at women's golf both these regions have become in the last decade or so. :fu

Re: Tennis

Actually choke was a bit harsh. She didn't meltdown this time, just got outplayed. I stand behind the Nadal prediction. He is in fine, wall-like form right now. He looks ready to return balls for hours. He is going return-bot his opponent to death. Not gonna watch. Long, boring ass rallies with a lo...

Actually kind of looking forward to this year's Serena Williams New York City meltdown. It's comical at this point. Yes it's going to suck for her, but at the end she still go home to her gajillion dollar fortune and her 23 Grand Slam trophies. Boo hoo.

Re: Crossword Puzzles

Some golf dweeb wrote today's NYT.

16-across: "Nordqvist of the L.P.G.A."

28-down: "Green-conscious grp"

Good thing "Anna" is a common name, else there'd be all these old people throwing their newspapers on the floor muttering "LPGA?!?!".

Re: Tennis

Nadal's going to cruise to the title. There will be hardly time for butt picking. And Serena Williams is going to choke away another final. There's your 2019 US Open of Tennis. Or as Howard Stern liked to refer to it, the US Open Sores.

"... but this is Grigor's moment, not my body's," Federer said. I was hoping to see Feds win another U.S. Open. Still, his reaction shows why he is the classiest athlete of our time. Nadal and the Serbian douche would have retired in this same situation, I am certain of it. But because Roger Federe...

Shot a mediocre 86 at Windmill yesterday. Played the back better than the front because I smoothed out my swing and found more fairways.

This will be the first time in years I will not be playing a three-club set of Vokey wedges. I started playing Vokeys in 2009 and originally played 52/56/60, but later moved to a 50/54/58 set up, which I like better. Now, with the T200 48W, I will have to drop the 50* Vokey from my bag, which I rea...

Re: Random golf thoughts

Every day at my work there is a putting contest where people have 3 chances to putt the ball into a cup. When ever someone makes it they back it up 1 carpet square (24" squares) and keep track of where they are each day. Currently they are on 118ish' putt. It's getting so long than the ball is boun...

Re: Anything, Dog

So last night I whipped up about two pounds' worth of beef, kale, sweet potato, rice stew for the mutt. Took me all of fifteen minutes to get everything in the cooker. Might have overcooked it a bit, for my liking at least. I tasted it, it was bland and tasted exactly like the ingredients. But like ...

Dog went to vet to get some shots last week, I am still laughing about it. He wasn't being a bad dog, just very uncooperative. You see whenever I refer to this place as the #1 Chez Reavie fan site on the internet, that's not me being a jocular jackass. It's simply the hard truth. Find me a more enthusiastic Chez Reavie discussion going on, anywhere, on internet or in the physical world. That's what I thought. :fkno

+7 at beachside pitch/putt yesterday. Not a bad score considering how ocean breezy it was out there. But score schmore. Noticeable ball flight improvement with full wedge swings, even the 60 degree, even into the wind. :thumbs
