Re: Tennis

Australian Open (of tennis) is heating up. All kinds of craziness already. Djokovic was upset by a young kid from Korea. He appeared kind of undersized, but then when they shook hands at the net, Chung actually towered over Djokovic. People in the tennis community are really high on this Chung, comp...

Re: Anything, Dog

Crotch licking is one of my least favorite doggy habits. It's not the concept of it that bothers me, hell we'd all do it too if we could. I just hate how noisy it is. Jesus Christ, you sound like a starved person slurping up a big bowl of soup, how is that even possible?! Wake up the whole house wit...

Re: January Golf!

Nothing that can't be figured out surely. Tiger Woods, who some say is the greatest of all time, hit lots of balls in the garage of his childhood home. No doubt he learned a thing or two in there.

I have no clue why my club face is so closed
I hate to bring this up but I would feel remiss if I didn't at least suggest that maybe it's a habit picked up while whacking bawlz into a net.

Re: Rahm #5 in the world and why that's impressive

I'm no Pats fan but Tom Brady was so clutch in that fourth quarter yesterday. Good game.

Re: January Golf!

Doug don't you pay decent money to play at that dump? Don't they have at least one old geezer in a cart riding around the course reminding people to pick up the pace? (Yeah I know they are sometimes called "rangers" or "marshalls" but give me motherf'n break. Do these people really deserve to share ...

Re: January Golf!

Wish I was out there right now. Weather is nice this weekend. Beyond that looks like the coast is clear. Odd rain day here or there. But otherwise a lot of January golf for the taking.

Re: Rahm #5 in the world and why that's impressive

Nope nothing. I know, it's not right. But it's the way it is. I seen that kid on the TV and everything, just had no reaction. Some people just don't move the needle I guess.

Re: January Golf!

In thr state of New Jersey. Being serious here. Intellectually, culturally it is a perfect match. Staten Island does not embody the general spirit of NYC. So I think what you are saying here is that Staten Island isn't filled with self consumed asses. :) I am saying that the two cities don't belong...

Re: Rory Thread

Ree: the latest Rory news, which reminds us that the Olympics is kind of like a father/daughter dance. Sure it's great fun and touching moments for those fortunate enough to be in intact families. But what about the others? They have to deal with the awkward sadness. Not everyone has such a clear a...

Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread

Just read Rory's pre-tournament presser. It still sounds like he is trying to talk himself into motivation again. It's weird when an elite athlete for whatever reason feels he must make declarations (to nobody in particular) like "I'd love to win again", "winning golf tournaments is a great feeling"...

Re: January Golf!

I am not (entirely) against Staten Island existing, but it should be its own incoporated city. In thr state of New Jersey. Being serious here. Intellectually, culturally it is a perfect match. Staten Island does not embody the general spirit of NYC. It embodies poverty and small mindedness and backw...

Re: January Golf!

Denied. There is no snow in Manhattan so I assumed there would be none in Staten Island. Wrong. It is a goddamn winter wonderland here. Didn't even bothered walking in, just crossed the street and caught the bus going right back towards home. How pathetic is that. Go to a different part of the same ...

Re: January Golf!

I'm en route to the course. In a horrible mood though. Woke up on the wrong side of the wrong side of the bed evidently. Just trying to keep my head down along this commute so I don't snap. Should be an interesting scorecard.

Re: ebay

So I'm not the only weirdo, thank God. Listen, it's a lot better for the world if we find new homes for all our unwanted-but-still-useful crap, instead of continually throwing it out to the landfill. Humanity will bury itself under a heap of plastic, and Amazon boxes :onfire

ebay

Any 'bayers out there? I have been running my ass ragged on that stupid site lately, selling off a bunch of stuff I don't need anymore. Their fees are sort of steep, but they offer a great convenience. What's the alternative? Advertise your stuff on craigslist, then deal with a bunch of weirdos and ...

Re: January Golf!

After getting in 45 holes last week, 2 @ 18 + a 9 holer, I'm shooting to play Friday this week. 43 degrees for the high forecast. Sunny. First real playable day since last week. Saturday and Sunday in the 50s. Hope to play one or both of those days too. January won't be as fruitful for golf this ye...

Re: January Golf!

Wow that's a lot of ice. A lot more than I saw yesterday. I took relief from casual ice a handful of times. In that pic I was on the green; I considered chipping but that would've been silly. Throughout the day would I amuse myself by picking up big ice sheets and tossing and shattering them on the ...

Re: January Golf!

you PLAYED BY THE RULES in winter conditions! Impressive, but over the top. Please. If I can do it so can anyone. Then again I guess it's not for everyone just like stuff like free rock climbing, or brazilian jujitsu aren't for everyone. Winter golf is a dangerous game :oh What's great about winter...
