Re: The Tiger Thread

Can you imagine what could be if he was able to rectify his tee shot issues once and for all? It was interesting to watch Tiger struggle with the driver, while his iron swing, on approaches at least, was on fire. He was peppering flags at will. Golf is just hard that way I guess. His natural swing ...

Re: The Tiger Thread

I think that Chez is maybe so dorky, that he comes out the other side ending up sort of cool. Same with Zach Johnson's caddie's flapping wing dance thing. First time seeing that was like, "Whoa, did a guy really just do that" but by now I'm like, awwww shit, bitch.

Re: The Tiger Thread

Odd time to bash the Chezmeister who placed T12 after a 66. Excellent tournament--for any Chez Reavie type player. Actually saw him on the coverage yesterday, making a putt. Looking quite possibly more Chez than ever. I.e. like a total dork.

Re: The Tiger Thread

I feel like yesterday was a joyous occasion for golf. The prodigal son returned home. Everyone celebrated. The tournament golf stage is Tiger's home, you know it and I know it. Seeing Tiger with Rory in the early rounds was a remarkable contrast. Rory for all his wondrous talents, FLITS his way arou...

Re: The Tiger Thread

Who could be against putting this guy on the stupid Ryder Cup team? A topnotch iron player and clutch putter who feeds off of huge crowds? What the f more could you want. End the stupid debate. Let the Tiger cup it up.

Move the TV or fire up the smartphone TV. Even at it's most thrilling, there is a lot of good groutin' time during a golf broadcast.

Re: The Tiger Thread

I am not optimistic about today. But still, quite impressed at Tiger comeback. Last year he was crashing his car all zonked out on drugs, and looked doomed. Doomed I tell you. Whatever happens in this tournament and the rest of the so-called PGA Tour season, Tiger has completely flipped the script. ...

Tiger now in top ten, another weekend at a major championship. He really looked doomed there on the front nine on day 1. Shows what I know.

Watching now. Tiger got ripshit pissed that a chip didn't go in the hole. Looks like a different player than yesterday, like one who has a chance here.

Re: The Tiger Thread

Good thing Tiger's not a bitch-ass quitter, like some of his fans. Like this one. :facepalm I am still not convinced though. Maybe he can play his game into shape like at the 08 USO. Hmm maybe I am convinced.

Re: 2018 summer support group

I am back from the simulator. It wasn't that fun and yet the time really flew by like nothing. Just hit balls on the range. I learned that I can barely hit a 6i over 150y. Surprising. I still sweated through my shirt. I think I still prefer being outside and sweating it up. Hitting in a sim is such ...

I am usually a wait-n-see, lotta-holes-to-play guy but I just saw a driver swing from Tiger that made me very um, not optimistic.

Re: 2018 summer support group

Next round for me is most likely going to be indoors on a simulator. Sometime this week.

Among the perks of indoor golf: don't have to wear a polo shirt.

I wouldn't hate summer golf so much if we could just dress as we do for running or working out--i.e. for comfort and performance.
The problem isn't relaxing the dress code. The problem is that then people take it too far.

Re: 2018 summer support group

I am not talking about all the time and I am certainly not ever in favor of playing music out of speakers. Where the goddamn hell does an accusation like that come from? Because I want a little comfort from the 90+ degree peak summer heat and humidity?! Obviously there will always be slobs in the wo...

Re: 2018 summer support group

Today I realize that I don't actually hate summer. Only the golfer in me. The inner child in me still loves summer. Sad. Summer is unkind for the golfer, or maybe just the NYC golfer. I wouldn't hate summer golf so much if we could just dress as we do for running or working out--i.e. for comfort and...

Re: The Tiger Thread

Just looked up some actual scores. A lot of supposedly good, young, tight golfers shot the same score or worse than Tiger yesterday. Day, Fowler, John Ram, all shot 73s. Rory also had a 73, but deserves his own mention because he was in the final group with a real chance to win. How many back fusion...

Re: The Tiger Thread

Just caught up on Tiger news. It's clear to me now that he did not prep for Bridgestone. Carnoustie took a lot out, and had to be a bitter stinging defeat. He is scaling back in order to make it through the final stretch of the season. This week was essentially practice for next week. An over the hi...
