Re: Getting out of a slump

I looked over the Jfurr swing sequence today. By my current understanding of the how the swing wrx it looks like a straightforward case of out of sync. I believe if you can get your arms to keep up you will start to hit it better. Have you tried casting or swinging the club down from the top? Releas...

Re: December Golf!!!

You should be jealous, had a lot of fun on empty course today. Felt like the Last Man On Earth. Struggled to get it in the hole but I hit it probably better than ever. 86 with a couple of fucked up penalties. Am starting to get into a wintergolf groove.

Re: December Golf!!!

I waffled so hard this morning over going to play. The thermo-meter says the high will be like 29 with windchill, but walking the dog this morning it felt not so bad. We actually went out by the east river for a longer stroll since I wasn't freezing. I will not go to golf but it was an excruciating ...

Aside from my beach trip, trying to think did I even play golf this year?
I think you also played Charwood once. You were in the clubhouse at least, you sent me a pic of a pic of Charlie Daniels.

Re: Bawlz

Yellow balls are fun. So are orange and green. I can't personally attest but the other colors are probably fun too. Golfers should be less dogmatic about silly stuff like that.

Re: December Golf!!!

Am considering playing today but it's so very cold. Forecasts are a little bit vague. The majority say it's too cold (<32°), but wunderground.com is showing some favorable numbers (high of 33°). Obviously they could easily be wrong, and I could freeze out there. I really could use one of them weathe...

Re: December Golf!!!

Sorry for being unclear. I treat plugged balls like a normal person, clean it and take a drop. What I meant is that I don't take relief from any mudballs.

Re: December Golf!!!

Today was a bitch. Never got above 40 degrees and the course is soaking wet. Lots of plugged balls and mud balls. I can't bring myself to play LCP so I just played as is. So what. If you search yourself deep down enough, you realize it is more fun to play like this. I am not some maniac. There are p...

Re: December Golf!!!

The time has come to December golf. So far weather outlook is good. No snow events and no :puke unseasonable warm temps. I am going out today. 30-somethin degrees. Layering level is near max, like 9/10. Never actually been to level 10, it's still only theoretical at this point.

Re: Bawlz

Am seriously considering ordering the chub pack of "Kirkland Signature" bawls from the Price Club Costco Warehouse. You get like two dozen for $29 includes shipping. Don't give me that look. Yeah so I have given up on life, and golf. So what, you will too eventually. :fkno

Re: Bawlz

I played a "Pinnacle Soft" (not sure of the exact appellation) for my two December rounds. I got them 9 months ago as part of the company's annual meeting golf activity. They seemed to "feel" okay and performed decently in the cold temperatures. I was bummed when I drowned the only one I had in bag...

Re: Bawlz

Here is my deal lately. I just play whatever ball I can find. Over the last few months that has included a Bridgestone e6 and a Titleist "Velocity", which to me does not even sound like an authentic product. Also been using my usual mix of Pro-V1, Bridgestone b330 and MG C4. I do not actually percei...

Re: WTF did you shoot today?

Played the best round of my life today. 83 at Neshanic Valley. Love this course so much. We jumped right into the round no warmup whatsoever, low 40s. I started with a 45, my first time on the "Lake" nine (Gbogey knows what I'm talking bout), thoroughly enjoyed it even though I lost a couple of ball...

I've never used one but anytime I see one, two words come to mind: hot box. A covered golf cart is perfect for that, you know it and I know it.

Re: 2018 Fall Support Group

It's still November, but earlier this week I dragged in a little fir tree from off the street and draped it with enough LED lights to light up the whole living room, my feeble attempt at beating back some of the pre-solstice darkness.
