Re: WTF did you shoot today?

Forgot to mention I was outdriven by my younger playing partners off the tee when hitting drivers by 50-80 yards, depending on my slice. Most of the time I'm one of the longer, or longest, hitters in my foursome so that was kinda bummer. One of his drove the green on a 300+ uphill par four (temporar...

Re: Cyber Stalking - Golf Forum Style

I've been forgetting to post on SG360. I post on another weird site which is what my buddy trip guys use for handicapping. I need to go backfill about 6 or 10 rounds on sky golf

Re: WTF did you shoot today?

100 at Golden Hills where I haven't played in two years. Many of the holes have been changed since before the flood of '15. It's a lot better now, some of the weird/gimmicky stuff is gone and good improvements.

Hit the ball like crap, chipping was awful.

Looking forward to Bethpage!

Re: Net Tournament - Playing From Different Tees

I see your delimma. Are you doing closet to the pin on par 3's? Per flight? In that case using the blue teees for all A players makes sense. But doesn't help the birdie skins on par 4&5 differences. You could figure what holes you get strokes on based on hole handicaps and factor those into your...

Re: Chris Cornell

I was living in Charleston in 89 and visited my friend's apartment, walked up and heard this roar from the stereo speakers, went into his roommates room and saw him playing Bleach on 12" vinyl. It was so dank and raw. "this is the future of music" he said, and he was right. Before thi...

Re: Chris Cornell

Bleach -- was my fav from the "grunge" era -- but I appreciate what you mean, that record was kinda more punk before it took a turn into the Pearl Jam / Soundgarden scope.

Soundgarden played twice here locally in the small club/rockvenues around '90 or so. I missed both gigs.

Re: Ugly ass water tower mural

Forgot to follow up. The mural thing happened, but it's not as the first described. Was originally supposed to be a computer - printed thing with Steve Spurrier on one side and Darius Rucker on the other. But in the end was hand painted with a silhouette and the typical palm tree and moon state flag...

Those Blues juniors, I recall they are pretty mean for their size.

Re: Guitar talk

Just got a few pieces of gear fixed. Most notably my 1964(?) pre-CBS blackface Super Reverb amp. It had so much corrosion in the pots and tube socket pins wouldn't pass signal. Sounds better than it ever has since I have owned it since 1989. It joins my fleet of amps including an early 70's silver f...

I have a serious problem. The new Twin Peaks series resumes after 25 years Sunday night with four hours of debut viewing. Planning to stream it and throw a watching party with several couples etc - but my home internet went out mid day today. Gahhh

File May 07, 4 23 01 PM.jpeg It was pretty fun, but despite being on the "big" stage of the three stages at this festival, the sound mix for the bands was awful all day. Next time if we get to do it again, one of the side stages closer to the food stuffs would be better. The main stage wa...

Going to see Spoon Friday night in Charleston. Then, coming back home and playing a gig at a festival mid-day on Saturday. The headlining band is The Spin Doctors. We are on the big stage too but a few slots earlier.
