Re: The Grumble Thread

I know Doug has talked about tendinitis in his elbow. I too am suffering from the same thing. I took down my "hitting bay" in my house about 6 weeks ago and told myself to not use it until my elbow was fine. Also before I hit indoors I'd hit some balls outside first to make sure there is no pain. I ...

That explains it. I have not been paying attention to the sponsor name of the match play event coming up. I just knew it was a match play event. Now that you mention it, Dell rings a bell.
It was over my head too.

Re: The Golf Fashion Thread

Generally I don't like playing golf in shirts that are "floppy" as I say. I prefer things to be on the tighter side. I do not by any means want it spandex tight, but I really hate feeling the shirt moving when I swing. I want it to feel like it's a piece of my skin, not moving just stretching. I ce...

Interesting, I wonder if that is why I like the UA stuff a little better. Generally I don't like playing golf in shirts that are "floppy" as I say. I prefer things to be on the tighter side. I just am pre-qualifying all of my comments in this thread with "don't listen to me I don't know what the f' I'm talking about." BTW what are your thoughts on UA shir...

Re: The Golf Fashion Thread

I barely care about "fashion" in a sense of how my clothes look. I only care about function, I want my cold weather stuff to allow me to move but still keep me wram, and I want my warm weather stuff to not stick to my sweaty body. Outside of that I do care to look presentable...shirt tucked in (unle...

I haven't done either, but I did look into it. Are you planning on making an artificial turf one? Real grass costs a ton of money to upkeep (fertilizer, special mower, lots of water, etc).

Sargasso sea weed is the thing you see floating more than anything out there.
Yeah and that stuff is good to fish under.

Although I've never been into the sargasso sea, but I've certainly trolled along my share of weed lines. There is a lot of really tasty dinner under those weeds.

Re: recycling

I'll be the first to admit I don't do as good of a job as I'd like. Sure we recycle all of the cardboard/paper crap we use in our house. We get paper bags for groceries, and I can't remember the last time I drank water from a plastic bottle. We did buy 3 dozen bottled waters during hurricane season ...

Re: Post your pics of the courses you play

I never think about taking pictures unless it's a different course I'm playing. Maybe I'll take some pictures of VB National next time I play. It's a Pete Dye course that use to host a web.com event every year. Doug will also think it's flat, but it does have water on 8 holes, actually on 10 but I'v...

Re: Post your pics of the courses you play

What is the carry # on the left bunker? From the blues about 265-280, depending on where tees are set. Normally, in-season, with a good drive I can reach just to the back right side of that bunker, or roll into it if I jerk it a bit. When I am to the left of that bunker (when I really yank it), it'...

We need to revive this thread. I like pictures. I just received my electronic copy of our Maryland State Golf Association newsletter. I don't like my SCOR wedge. It's probably my least favorite club in my bag, I just don't use it enough to justify dropping $120 on a new wedge right now.

Really hate to be a party pooper (story of my life) but I think this so-called award would much, much better received if it didn't come with an actual trophy. In that case I nominate Dougs trash can for the contest. It endured some very harsh weather over the last couple months and it did not post ...

Oh and you can't see but I have 7 wraps of tape under my lower hand and 4 wraps under my upper hand on that club (wedge). It's blue painters tape and fades into my clothes.

Also that old grip was on there for 22 months.

Ok so here is how to regret with air. You don't need the solvent, I use it because it makes getting the grip on part way easier also once it's on I can get the grip aligned like I want by twisting it. I normally have the pump in the passenger seat and everything is a lot easier with it higher, I cou...

Of course DougE and Beef are solid contenders and deserving of the win, but I’ll argue that Gobey’s 75 in 42F weather with wind and mud is a solid entry too and I’ll give him my vote. 👍
Oh forgot about that one.
