Re: WTF did you buy today?

It's insane that they don't just have that info on the Titleist website.

Re: WTF did you buy today?

Is there anywhere on the Titleist website where it shows what each grind is? Like with a picture of the sole of the club and an area highlighted that gets ground down?

I would find that more useful for me to pick out a grind than just letting their questionnaire tell me what grind I want.

Re: Random golf thoughts

My USGA rules of golf app on my phone disappeared. Then I realized it has already updated to have the 2019 rules in it, and it just "disappeared" from my "golf" main screen. It was still in my all apps section. I would need to download a different app to get the current rules, luckily I'm not planni...

I answered those questions the results were... 50/12 F 54/08 M 58/08 M My current wedge are 49/07 v sole - least favorite wedge 53/13 (says 52/12 but bent weak 1 degree) 58/12 Maybe they are right and a medium bounce wedge is right for me. But my entire life I've played a high bounce 12+ degree wedg...

Re: The Grumble Thread

I have played as a 7-some one time. But no one was on the course and we broke a lot of other rules. It was at a country club my friend belonged to. A group of us always talked about playing a 1 to 5 match. Where you tee off on #1 tee, and hole out on #5 and don't need to hole out on any other holes....

Re: The Grumble Thread

Yeah I'm with Doug on this one.

5-somes are a no-no unless the course is open and no one is waiting behind you (even if you are waiting on a group in front).

Re: Tech help

I didn't realize that a CPU had graphics imbedded in it. I looked at the spec sheet for the core i5 and I can't tell if it's graphics will meet my needs. Here are the requirements for tgc golf simulator. Do you think I would need add a video card, or would the i5 be sufficient? Minimum: OS: Windows ...

Re: Tech help

Thanks everyone, so there are 2 things not pictured because I knew what they were. 1) the big ass case (Corsair 800D) and 2) Blu Ray player My plan was to finish it off and turn it into my dedicated computer for my skytrak. I'd eventually like to get tgc simulator which requires more computing power...

Re: The Tiger Thread

Today he was testing the "traditional" putter, along with the scotty he has used to win 1 or 2 tournaments. So he might have 3 different putters in 3 different weeks.

Re: Tech help

Yeah I'm pretty mechanically inclined. I'm not so concerned with the whole installing and getting it running. I just don't know and can't find an answer to what parts I'm missing. Not sure I want to spend $400-$500 on a CPU and graphics card if I'm hooking them up to a motherboard that's been sittin...

Tech help

Hey tech guys. I got some free gaming computer parts from my sister in law (well from her ex-husband, that left them at her house). I know I'm good at building things but I don't know what is integrated or what half this crap is. I know there is the motherboard, sabertooth z77, what looks like 2 coo...

Re: 2018 summer support group

Oh my it's so freakin hot out right now. Last week we had early fall with highs in the upper 70's a couple days. Today on my lunch break I went to the range to chip/putt. Thank god I'm working from home, I was covered in sweat within 15 min. I feel like i need to dry off my driver seat in my car now...

I make this same damn post every couple months. I'm getting really tired of posting it and I'm sure you all are tired of reading it. I feel like the dumbest golfer ever and don't know what to do other than post on here confessing how insane I am (per Einstein's definition). When I'm practicing and c...

Re: WTF did you shoot today?

Depends on what stats you are calculating. If it's a one dimensional stat like fw % or gir. Then sure it's a fw. If you are calculating something more complex like strokes gained and you used your putter next then it really doesn't matter, but I'd call it a green hit under regulation. If you don't u...

Re: The Tiger Thread

I agree with you and have thought the same since the PGA. If you look back at his majors this year you'll see his scores were better on the weekend than on Thursday/Friday. Along with his best result being the week after playing a tournament. The real question is will Tiger realize this and start pl...

Re: Just Keep Swimming

So with my atrocious ball striking the last couple rounds I decided to check everything from the ground up. Apparently my left hand grip got too strong. I have fixed it and put in a pre shot check point when lining up. Hitting the ball so much more consistent now.

Re: Just Keep Swimming

That sounds odd. To me that sounds like a way to trick your brain into coming OTT. I feel that the instinct would be a desire to not hit the tee marker so you would bring the club way out to in to prevent hitting it. Which essentially is the swing I'm attempting to make (at least in my head, not in ...

Re: WTF did you shoot today?

So I got around to looking at stats for the round. 28 putts, this is my first sub 30 putting round in years, So I just realized yesterday I had 29 putts after 13 on the front side I had 2 1-putts and no 3-putts on the back. Sub 30 putting is so much easier when you don't hit the GIR. So since my so...
