Re: Tiger at the Phoenix Open

Tigers odds at Torrey this week opened at 50/1. And currently at 20/1 for the masters which are the worst odds I can remember seeing for him there.

Re: Rules Question: tapping down marks on the green

They are generally tapping down spike marks as a courtisey for other players. Which is legal to do if it doesn't affect your shot.

As long as it doesn't change your lie.

So brushing the grass is OK. But if there is a dead leaf on top of the grass and that leaf moves while you lightly brushed the grass it would be a penalty.

How long does your glove last?

I've read a couple comments here and some other site that is dead about people buying multiple gloves a year. It got me thinking my last 2 gloves have gotten me through 3 years and the one I'm using now is still in good shape. I only play 24-ish rounds a year but I use to wear gloves down really qui...

Re: Golf Scores

Pretty terrible ball striking day specially off the tee. Shot 90.

Walked 18 holes with a nice older guy who was also interested in getting done with in 3 hours. We both walked and were done just under 2:50. I love winter golf.

Re: The '14-15 Winter Golf Thread

Looks like I'm getting out today. Getting off work early and have about 4 hours to get to the course and play as many holes as possible.

I'm hoping the course wont be busy so I can get in a full 18. Given that it is 50* for a high and a Wednesday its looking slightly promising. Fingers crossed.

Couldn't agree with you more beef. What happened to just the facts? Please leave the analysis of those facts to the viewers, I don't care what you think or what your opinion is. If the viewers are too dumb to properly analyze the facts then that is their own damn fault. Dear Mr News anchor, You got ...

Re: Facial Hair

A guy I work with has a full beard. He hits the ball sky high and a mile long (230 yard 5i). But I usually take his money because he cracks under pressure over the last 6-8 holes which is where I happen to thrive.

Re: How are you going to get better in 2015?

My goal 3 putt avoidance is 5.6% (1 per round). For the last 2 years I've been in the 10-12% range and will be very happy with sub 8%. Based on this old golf digest article by Hank Haney (sigh). Here are the average 3 putt avoidance stats. Unfortunately this was the best information I could find in ...

Re: How are you going to get better in 2015?

Beef your goal setting is better than you think. Its my belief that setting "score based" goals is counter productive. There are so many variables in your score. I think focusing on one or two aspects of your score and just letting your score be what it is, is a much better way to set goals.

They look great. What are the lofts 6-9? A 4* separation from 3-5 seems really low what made you chose those lofts?

How are you going to get better in 2015?

What are your goals and how do you think you'll meet them in 2015? For me: Golf - I hope to play 15 rounds this year. Lots of things going on so wont be able to put in many rounds. 1) Hit more fairways (>55%). -I have 2 ways to achieve this. Limit the amount of clubs I'm willing to hit off the tee. ...

weight transfer

I'm having issues getting off my right side with driver. Which is causing block slices. I think it stems from not having a good transition. Hands start the down swing and my body isn't clearing out until after impact. Any tips on getting weight transfered or how to make sure my hips are leading the ...
