Re: Winter Support Group - 2015

I also know a good amount of people in construction if you'd rather work outside in the heat/humidity. Also know some lawyers down in the ft. Myers that might be able to use some detective skills.

Re: Winter Support Group - 2015

How close to ready to move are you? I did accounting and my parents do small business accounting. So I can email a few people to see if anyone is hiring for billing, collection s or payables. What are you wanting to get paid (don't need to tell me if you don't want, just trying to get an idea of the...

Re: Winter Support Group - 2015

So after 7 hours of ice we are starting to get snow. Just great 1/2" to 1" of ice with snow on top. Temps not supposed to be above freezing until Saturday. Not sure I'll be able to leave the house at all this week. Neighborhood kids were sledding down the street in front of my house before the snow ...

That is what the news told us until about 10pm last night. Hopefully your weather people didn't get their meteorology degree from university of phoenix like ours.

Re: Winter Support Group - 2015

Matt What do you do? I lived in the Clearwater area for 27 years and have friends all around the state.

As for Nashville weather. I'd be happy to see snow right now. Been solid ice for 2 straight hours and not supposed to change for 6 more hours. My driveway is like a skating rink.

My wife and I fall into the no obligatory giving. I guess I set the bar really low on our 1st v day. She helped me peel wall paper that day. So every year of nothing is a gift in her eyes.

Re: 2015 Fantasy Golf League

I vaguely know Michael Weaver who got a sponsors exemption to play at pebble this week. He made the cut at the us open as an amateur and came in 2nd at the us am to Stephen fox (Weaver was 2 up with 2 to play). He turned pro this year made it to final stages of q-school then shit a brick at q-school...

Make a goal of 0 chunks. Even if you miss everything (ground included) it was a successful attempt.

Re: Getting out of a slump

Have you tried skulling an entire bucket? Just don't worry about good contact. Attempt to blade 20 straight shots. See what your body is forced to do differently to blade the ball.

Re: The '14-15 Winter Golf Thread

Went to the range on saturday with my son and my wife. It was my sons first trip to the range. He loved it which was fun to see. He wanted to go back Sunday when it was 45* and raining. I almost feel bad that I've subjected him to this game at such a young age. He just loves hitting the ball, I have...

Re: The '14-15 Winter Golf Thread

I hit about 15 -20 50-75% wedges. Then a couple full mid irons then I try to hit driver 400 yards. That gets me loose. So I then go to the green and let myself tighten up before the 1st hole.

That usually works well.

Re: Who Watched the Super Bowl?

In the end who cares. NFL football is a sham and a circus. I quit watching the NFL, sans the super bowl, about 6-7 years ago. Got really pissed at them blacking out games that aren't sold out during the 2008 financial crisis. Really irritating the NFL thought a family of 4 should be able to spend $...

Re: Push or Pull?

I went with a little of both. But also feel this thread will devolve into a Salt & Pepper commercial. Its really determined by the shot I'm playing. My driver is almost always a push feeling. When I'm trying to draw the ball its a push feeling. When I'm trying to hit a cut its a pull feeling. When I...

Tigers odds at Torrey this week opened at 50/1. And currently at 20/1 for the masters which are the worst odds I can remember seeing for him there.

Re: Rules Question: tapping down marks on the green

They are generally tapping down spike marks as a courtisey for other players. Which is legal to do if it doesn't affect your shot.

Re: Rules Question: hitting from inside hazard

As long as it doesn't change your lie.

So brushing the grass is OK. But if there is a dead leaf on top of the grass and that leaf moves while you lightly brushed the grass it would be a penalty.

How long does your glove last?

I've read a couple comments here and some other site that is dead about people buying multiple gloves a year. It got me thinking my last 2 gloves have gotten me through 3 years and the one I'm using now is still in good shape. I only play 24-ish rounds a year but I use to wear gloves down really qui...

Re: Golf Scores

Pretty terrible ball striking day specially off the tee. Shot 90.

Walked 18 holes with a nice older guy who was also interested in getting done with in 3 hours. We both walked and were done just under 2:50. I love winter golf.
