Re: It's all about me...

I can't stand tax either.

Coming to me for tax advice is like going to a dentist for a heart attack. They are both doctors after all.

Re: Masters tix

As a native californian living in the NYC metropolitan area, to me the Masters seems like it takes place on another planet. Awesome that a couple of "us" will be there. Hopefully you guys can throw us poor shlubs a bone and regale us with a few onsite photos. They are extremely strict about that th...

Re: Workin' it

I agree. I know I've even perpetuated this miss-advice at times (need golf confessional). I do think that as long as you have confidence in your ability to pull off the shot you should attempt it. For me there is no point in attempting to draw a driver around a tree. I'll just pull out 3w and do it ...

Re: Shanked chips

You shouldn't be "chipping" a 3i. Just hit it like a putt.

I hit my 4i 200+ yards. But still chip with it and it only goes 20' if I want it to.

Re: Shanked chips

When I get the shanks with pitches it is usually because the ball is too far back in my stance and I'm lifting my head to look at it.

Some how the combination of those two things causes hozzel rockets.

So I'm looking for the lightest weight metal driver I can find for my son. I'll cut it down and throw a small grip on it. He has a plastic set and loves going to the range with me to hit real balls. So I figured I'd try to find a real driver where the shaft doesn't bend at impact and get dented when...

Re: Arnold Palmer Invitational - Bay Hill

My dad likes this tournament more than any other for multiple reasons. Back in the 80's he was a member and won one of the member tournaments. For that win both him and Tiger have the same trophy (different tournament name). http://golfweek.media.clients.ellingtoncms.com/img/photos/2011/03/21/palmer...

Re: WTF did you shoot today? (provisional title)

http://www.gamegolf.com/player/jasonfish11/round/221987 I'm really happy with this given I haven't had much time to put into the game recently. On holes 12-17 you could have taped a dime to my irons and I would have worn out FDR's face which was nice. I put the ball with in 5' of where I wanted to ...

Tomorrow. I'm leaving work early and will be walking 18 at one of the courses with bermuda greens. All the courses with bent aerated between 1 and 3 weeks ago, and I don't want to play plinko. Can't wait. The weather turned so quickly here. We got 4" of snow 13 days ago. And now the grass is greenin...

Last I saw tiger has 50/1 odds to win the masters. Lol Freddy couples has his usual 150/1. As of right now I'd take him finishing ahead of tiger at even money wonder if I can find 3/1 somewhere on that bet.

How funny would it be if he doesn't play until the masters. Then laps the field by 8 shots.

Re: Frequently Changing Putting Styles

It's terrible. It's like Parkinson's sets in for my right hand. I snap the face shut at impact.

I've quit playing "team" golf. Like scrambles, best ball, ect. due to the fact it is worse when I have the added pressure of screwing up not only my round by my teams round.

Re: Frequently Changing Putting Styles

Here's to sticking to a good one this season. Yeah that is the goal. Its been helping that my son loves "whacking" the ball upstairs. He constantly makes me get my putter and use the putting mat by pointing at me and saying "daddy whack". So I've hit 300+ putts this winter with one style. And my yi...

Re: Frequently Changing Putting Styles

I've had major issues with the yipps. Each year I "find" a putting style that works. And then I change it 2-3 times throughout the year because it quit working. Mine are more massive changes. Here is a short list that I can remember over the last 3 years. 3 putters (one belly) multiple grips -Normal...

Dog is doing fine. Vet said the surgery went fine but there was a lot of damage. Which amazes me because she never appeared in pain other than limping. That much damage in my knee and I'd be crying like a little girl. We get her back from the vet tonight. She will have to be in a cage for the next 2...

Completely done with CPA exam now. Just have to pass aicpa ethics course and I get 3 little letters after my name. That requires that you reach the floor for medical expenses. If you made it a charitable contribution it would be much better. "I'm donating $50 to the municipality of _______ today." ...
