Re: Tech help

Thanks everyone, so there are 2 things not pictured because I knew what they were. 1) the big ass case (Corsair 800D) and 2) Blu Ray player My plan was to finish it off and turn it into my dedicated computer for my skytrak. I'd eventually like to get tgc simulator which requires more computing power...

Re: The Tiger Thread

Today he was testing the "traditional" putter, along with the scotty he has used to win 1 or 2 tournaments. So he might have 3 different putters in 3 different weeks.

Re: Tech help

Yeah I'm pretty mechanically inclined. I'm not so concerned with the whole installing and getting it running. I just don't know and can't find an answer to what parts I'm missing. Not sure I want to spend $400-$500 on a CPU and graphics card if I'm hooking them up to a motherboard that's been sittin...

Tech help

Hey tech guys. I got some free gaming computer parts from my sister in law (well from her ex-husband, that left them at her house). I know I'm good at building things but I don't know what is integrated or what half this crap is. I know there is the motherboard, sabertooth z77, what looks like 2 coo...

Re: 2018 summer support group

Oh my it's so freakin hot out right now. Last week we had early fall with highs in the upper 70's a couple days. Today on my lunch break I went to the range to chip/putt. Thank god I'm working from home, I was covered in sweat within 15 min. I feel like i need to dry off my driver seat in my car now...

Re: Just Keep Swimming

I make this same damn post every couple months. I'm getting really tired of posting it and I'm sure you all are tired of reading it. I feel like the dumbest golfer ever and don't know what to do other than post on here confessing how insane I am (per Einstein's definition). When I'm practicing and c...

Re: WTF did you shoot today?

Depends on what stats you are calculating. If it's a one dimensional stat like fw % or gir. Then sure it's a fw. If you are calculating something more complex like strokes gained and you used your putter next then it really doesn't matter, but I'd call it a green hit under regulation. If you don't u...

Re: The Tiger Thread

I agree with you and have thought the same since the PGA. If you look back at his majors this year you'll see his scores were better on the weekend than on Thursday/Friday. Along with his best result being the week after playing a tournament. The real question is will Tiger realize this and start pl...

Re: Just Keep Swimming

So with my atrocious ball striking the last couple rounds I decided to check everything from the ground up. Apparently my left hand grip got too strong. I have fixed it and put in a pre shot check point when lining up. Hitting the ball so much more consistent now.

Even more than self coach the guy giving me tips really pisses me off.

I told one guy "no offense I'm working with a coach and I'm not going to listen to you"

Re: Just Keep Swimming

That sounds odd. To me that sounds like a way to trick your brain into coming OTT. I feel that the instinct would be a desire to not hit the tee marker so you would bring the club way out to in to prevent hitting it. Which essentially is the swing I'm attempting to make (at least in my head, not in ...

Re: WTF did you shoot today?

So I got around to looking at stats for the round. 28 putts, this is my first sub 30 putting round in years, So I just realized yesterday I had 29 putts after 13 on the front side I had 2 1-putts and no 3-putts on the back. Sub 30 putting is so much easier when you don't hit the GIR. So since my so...

Re: Just Keep Swimming

I'm kind of at a loss on what to do off the tee. I know I'm changing some things in my swing to get "on top of the ball" or prevent myself from getting under the plane. I've only been at it for a couple weeks and I'm seeing progress with my irons when I played yesterday. Honestly I did hit more "poo...

Re: WTF did you shoot today?

Speaking of short game. I hit this to 6' when my goal was just to get it on the green. It's hard to see but the ball is settled down and I believe technically in the bunker here. Hard wet sand under the ball. Picture doesn't really do it justice.

Re: WTF did you shoot today?

So I don't have a real score today. My ball striking was again shit. My irons we're better my wedges we're awesome. But I can barely get the ball airborne off the tee. I'm starting to think it's partly mental. I didn't hit a single good tee shot. I had a couple poor ones that worked out, but none th...

Re: The Grumble Thread

It was a full out sprint between shots on 18 I told the other guys I was going to play that hole with them but they didn't need to wait for me. The rain was coming down pretty good right as I hit a shitty tee shot. At least the lightning held off until I got to the car. Everyone really picked it up ...

Re: The Grumble Thread

So things really picked up, I think they were embarrassed a walker was keeping up with them. With storms rolling in I decided to press a little. I walked up to the 16th tee box right now with them just finishing teeing off. They didn't ask if I wanted to play with them. Normally I wouldn't care, but...

Re: The Grumble Thread

So I'm opening the betting lines on how long this round will take today. Let me set the scene for you. 1st tee at 1:20. A 2 some is waiting on the 2 some in the fairway. I stroll up with my push cart and no one says a word, which is fine. One of the guys on the box is in long black pants with a fluf...

Re: Random golf thoughts

How many rounds are you talking about?

3 or 4 bad rounds with him over the last 6 months? If so maybe it's just variance.

Or do you play with him frequently (10+ times over the summer). Then maybe he does affect your game.

Re: Just Keep Swimming

The more I mess with this the more I realize it's not really a swing to the "left". It's a flattening off my shoulder plane, which feels like I'm swinging left. So far I've hit a lot of balls with this thought of having my left shoulder rotate behind my neck on a flat plane. I know it's not actually...

Don't see or hear about anyone else sweating through multiple shirts per round.
Would a story about Chez Reavie changing shirts 2 or 3 times in a round generate any interest?
