Re: February Golf

Today is the wintry party mix from hell. I think wintergolf season might've got KO'd. I'm not broken up about it yet though. The course is in such outrageously bad shape anyways. It needs a break.

Re: 2018-2019 Winter Support Group

So I'm kind of obsessed with this 'breaking 80' thing, which might be inhibiting my chances of actually doing it (the obsession thing). Oh god. No it's not. Get out of your freakin' navel and whack some balls. Or chip em at least. What I am saying is that I do not believe you need mental help. You ...

Don't judge me because I quit caring about getting the damn ball in the hole. I'm sure I'll make it out to a course a few times this year, but I really don't care what happens at this point.

Interesting factoids. El Tigré always carries three tees in his pocket, and also a 25-cent coin from 1932, the year his dad was born. :breaking

Re: February Golf

48/42 :puke I am surprised I had a putt to break 90. On the course it felt like I was +40 or something. I hung in there, proud of myself. Hit all the back nine fairways, 6 drivers and a 5w. That was fun. I did the black power salute after every par today. On the front nine I couldn't find a swing, m...

Re: February Golf

Free for a quick 18 this afternoon. Mid 30s. I waffled very hard but why? Long as I prepare, I won't be cold. Deep winter laziness setting in maybe. Not so high on winter golf at this stage. But. It would be a wasted opportunity you know it and I know it. Stop being so weak and pathetic. There is so...

Re: 2019 PGA Tour thread

Paul Casey took down El Tigré last year, now has a very good chance to beat Phil. We are looking at prime Paul Casey. I sort of like the guy, because he is English, and also is into biking. If he wins today he will win a "major" very soon. :school

I think the Srixon XV is my bawl now. It's long, it's cheap, it wins on tour and you can buy it in stores unlike the MG's and whatnot. Plus it's from Japan, and I usually like Japanese things.

I want to see a El Tigré or Phil do it. Rory is his usual standoffish self here. He is not very game and doesn't really try that hard. Douche. :lolz

Re: N.B.A.

One of the best games of the season last night. There's your starting point guard for fuck's sake. I was pulling for the C's but impressed with the Sad Lakers. They looked like a team who can shoot (field goals at least). Even the Boston-area douchebags in attendance had to smile at Rondo's buzzer b...

Re: N.B.A.

I am disappoint. Mainly because I would've probably gone back to being a Lakers fan. This is mostly due to "Zo" let's face it. I'm sort of boycotting on account of them getting into bed with Lavar in the first place. Lonzo is mild-mannered yes, but that doesn't exempt a person from being trash. His ...

Re: Course Staff and Rangers

My most memorable experience of golf course assholery is at the Montebello Golf Course, which is an average city-run golf course outside of L.A. For whatever reason, the people behind the desk (a wide wooden paneled thing that looks like a judge's bench) are on a raised platform, like 8 inches high...

Re: N.B.A.

So here's the deal. The Sad Lakers offered up every one of their highly touted young players in a lopsided trade for one Anthony Davis and yet the Pelicans were not impressed. Losing situation all around. Now the Sad Lakers have even more problems. They didn't get the superstar player they hoped for...

That's what I'm talking about :fk Love whenever BK gets out for some deep wintergolf action. The gratitude and the joie de vivre really come through in these reports. And goshdang it, your turf looks way better than ours. Look at that green. Never mind the poop, the surface is quite smooth. Ours loo...

Sad Lakers in turmoil here on the eve of the trade deadline. While getting brutalized by the Pacers last night, players also got brutalized all night by trade-themed taunts from the stands. Fans of sports can be so cruel :bawl

Re: Course Staff and Rangers

At all the munis where I play, none of the rangers (or marshals) are empowered to do anything about slow play: even when there is a hole open in front of a slow group, they can never make them move and skip a hole, they can only have a talk and that is even too much. I guess the expectation from th...

Re: Course Staff and Rangers

I've never seen anything like cookies but one time at a nice course the starter is about to send us off, and he says, "Now hang on just a sec and I'll get you a couple bottles of water." I was so confused. It was kind of an embarrassing exchange. "Oh no, I don't want to buy any water." Eventually I ...
