I really do not want to do this, but I don't want to be a party pooper either. I'll think it over.

Re: Xmas '15

I am back from Vegas vacation. I feel like crap and need to recover. I saw Cirque du Soleil's Beatles show. Utter sacrilege. I bought the soundtrack album when it came out and really liked it, still do. But the actual show was a nightmare of interpretive dance, creepy performers and mind-numbingly l...

Merry Christmas to you all! Beef, thanks for creating this board, where we can call a spade a shovel and not get in the shit for it. This is literally the best golf board out there, you know it and I know it! Beef, though I may have missed it somewhere else on these boards, I hope the hell you will...

Tomorrow I'm gonna hit some bawlz at the Korean driving range in Queens. Weather is going to be ass-poundingly good tomorrow. Today I hit balls in a t-shirt, and sweated. Had to be a high temp record, it really felt like late-May type weather. Warm and steamy.

Xmas '15

Driving to the airport earlier today, I was thinking about this board. I am, I realized, actually glad for this board and the people on it. Sweet, as Eric Cartman would say. Here's to your respective holidays not sucking. Dang I should write for greeting cards. Through happenstance this year, like a...

Re: International Crown Update: What Happened to Spain?

HELLZ YEAH MOTHERF'ERS Nice write up T man. On paper the strength of Korea is astounding. Average world rank of what, 5.5? They should let Korean-born Lydia Ko play for Team Korea, just for fun's sake. With Inbee anchoring again, this is a stronger team than last. But since it's all match play, form...

You mean these??

(same product, but that links gets me the sales commission hehe)

I probably should. Time for me to face the ugly truth. I am predominantly a cart-riding golfer now, and I ought to do something to protect those irons. They are paying the price for my idealism.

God damn, love that story! I picture a woman in tears, inconsolable, her back turned as a cringing, tiptoeing DougE offers up a timid apology. "JUST GO AWAY, HAVEN'T YOU DONE ENOUGH?!?!"

Re: Describe Your Best Shot of the Month

After a bad tee shot on a par 3, long and left, lying at the base of a tree, totally bare dirt lie, steep down slope, plus there were mounds guarding the green, just the kind of long (~20y) awkward chip that bad dreams are made of. Had a little talk with myself. Ok, there's no denying this is a toug...

I have doubts about this kind of thing. First of all the Zepp is endorsed by Michelle Wie, not exactly great credibility. and B) how could swing-data possibly help the majority of golfers? I'm not seeing it. This tech is pretty neat-o, but that's about it IMHO.

Re: December Golf!!!!

Last week no kidding around, I almost flew out of a cart and I was driving it. No shenanigans, just driving along at Silver Lake and hit a patch of rough cart path. It freaked me out. If I had not grabbed hold in time, I would have ended up outside the cart. One of the reasons I don't like to be in...

I just played 36 holes in about 4h 9m. That has to be a personal record. Not that it's something to be proud of. I overdosed. In this weather, thats just too much. Feel woozy from getting thrown around the cart all day. Literally fly in the air off the seat. Last week no kidding around, I almost fle...

Re: Mud Balls

GAHHHHH I played today and it was really muddy. I had a shot at breaking 80 but on the second to last hole my 8-iron approach went hard left, clear over the chainlink and onto the street. There was probably some poop on the front of the ball that I'd failed to notice. Because it was a good swing, an...

I think it's just me saying it & you can tell when someone's going all out to save a loose ball. Exactly what played out. Those are not common plays - most of these rich diva nba'ers wouldn't put the effort in. He did zero. That seems low in more than 1 way. Oops, it was just you. Maybe you have a ...
