Re: Perception of the golf swing

I know what you are saying I've considered rigging up an overhead camera angle for video. I think it would be very revealing. Somehow get a video camera directly above while on the range , perhaps on a light truss stand. Think of what the paths would look like from there. YES That is actually somet...

Re: Random thoughts

I just realized that I only own/wear polo shirts because of society's expectations. I do not really care for them. Would much rather wear a t-shirt every time. I don't really feel like myself in a polo shirt.

Whatever happened to "love it or leave it"? Nobody says that anymore. But it is just as relevant a sentiment now as it was in the 80s or whenever. Is what I say.

Perception of the golf swing

Have you ever thought about your own perception of the swing, and wondered how similar your perception is to the reality of what the club is doing? Or how similar your perception is to a theoretically correct swing? I am realizing that so much of what was wrong with me and my attempts at swinging wa...

Re: WTF did you shoot today?

On the other hand, being a high teen handicapper, you may actually be pulling your head. Oh, I guarantee I'm not pulling my head. Not ever. Not for years. And the vast majority of high handicappers (dare I say all?) who think they pull their head are actually doing something else wrong. Yeah, I thi...

Re: Summer Support Group

My iron play is usually a strength of my game. It had been my driver causing me 3-8 strokes a round even on good rounds. So I feel I'm really close to turning a corner and getting to a mid single diget. Then everything layed a massive turd this last week. Oh and I know the odds are not great of me ...

Don't get me wrong, I am not in any way trying to poopoo this thread or anybody who likes Paige. Quite frankly she has got it going on, and also the Instagram-embedding looks pretty nice.

Re: Summer Support Group

Sorry Fish you are on your own now. For I have regained the will to play rounds. It seems that a small wormhole has opened up in the NYC area and I've somehow been able to enter a different dimension, in which courses are empty and rounds take about three hours.

Re: The Paige Spiranac thread

C'mon, now. There aren't that many girls that are that hot and have a decent level of golfing ability. It truly is a rare thing. Good on her for making whatever she's making of it. I don't know man. The synergy that's created by an attractive female displaying aptitude at a certain skill is ...

Re: The Paige Spiranac thread

I enjoy this girl and her outfits and what not, but I just read an interview where she's like "What's the big deal, I'm not looking for attention, I just happen to be wearing my workout clothes because I go straight from the gym to the course, blah blah blah." That makes me wish that another hottie ...

Ex Machina. Same underlying message as Spike Jonze's "Her": if you fall in love with an A.I., she will fuck you over and not even feel bad about it.

Hendrix would never play digital ! Not so sure about that. I always felt that if he was still alive today he would've done all kinds of stupid stuff by now like endorsing bad products, collaborating with no-talent assclown flavors of the month, re-working his classic songs into contemporary renditi...

Re: 2015 Fantasy Golf League

With every passing week I am cementing my status as the worst fantasy golf player in the history of the game. I know that no matter how much or how little effort I put into the picks, the outcome is about the same. The best I can hope for is 3rd to DFL. So this week I have a little fun with the pick...

I just pawned my Fender Champ 600 tube amp. Gonna get me a Roland Cube. I know, going from tube analog to digital. On the surface of things that is kind of sad. But let's face it, that Champ wasn't working for me. At low volumes, there is practically no tone to speak of. I'm sure if you replace the ...

Re: I lost my 3-iron

UPDATE I am LOVING the new 3-iron. I feel like it has saved me several strokes already, in just three or four rounds. Pulling 3i used to mean uncertainty and doubt, now I am psyched to do it. Today I hit it out of the rough and caught it high on the face--still reached pin high. The muscleback would...

Re: Putting questions

It's my understanding that you want to strike the ball above the equator of the ball, so I think the inconsistent roll could be from hitting the ball too low. Forward press might fix this, but you might also try to position the ball more forward in your stance. I would agree with that. Try to strik...
