Wait! You can't stand Robert Plant's voice but you (presumably) like Axl Rose's voice? That whingy, nasaly, whiny noise he makes is SO awful! I'd probably quite like GnR if it wasn't for that little prick...

Re: Anything, Dog

The other night out on a walk, this obnoxious retriever was approaching from opposite direction, looking right at my dog probably wanting to tussle and what not. Ringo I guess didn't like the look of him, goes straight to the nearest tree and marks it. I notice he will mark when rowdy dogs are nearb...

Re: Random thoughts

Everyone has that one singer that they just cannot stand. It's like fingers grating down a blackboard. For me, that one singer is Robert Plant. His voice is awful. You still have to appreciate Robert Plant's vocal artistry. Hey hey mama said the way you move... all the melodies in that song for exa...

Re: Random thoughts

Some might argue Metallica. And I can't stand Metallica. If we were to combine longevity with success, then U2 really has no rival going back to the early '80s even when compared to my personal favorites Pearl Jam and Guns n Roses. Metallica did very well for a metal band. Still not even in the sam...

Here's a suggestion, next time you go hit balls try swinging with the absolute lightest grip you could possibly make. Lighter than light. See what happens.

Re: Random thoughts

It dawned on me over the weekend, that most likely the last great band of our time will end up being U2. No need to argue with me over this, I am not even a big U2 fan. It was just a Nostradamus-type of vision I had. Right now, people are understandably kind of sick of their shit, but I am talking a...

Re: Summer Support Group

Summer blues is still in effect. Weather is hot and nice and courses are still clogged to the gills these days. Today though, is a tiny bit of chill in the air. It is nice. Makes me look forward to the cold and, in a weird way, the darkness of winter. I am so looking forward to the first sub 40º rou...

Ha ha it all ended in tears. Ha ha. That's what you get when you take girls and pit them against one another under the mantle of pseudo patriotism and xenophobia. Add in the practice of match play and conceded putts and you are just asking for drama. This kind of cunty nonsense was bound to happen ...

Caught a bit of Baz Lurhmann's 2013 The Great Gatsby. It put me in a funk for the whole next day. Why is that stupid book canonized in the first place? Why is Tobey Maguire a movie star? The movie is like, an ode to everything that is pointless about life.

I think he found a loophole out of playing the Fry.com Open that he was required to play in exchange for playing in that tournament in Turkey a few years ago. Not surprising if he wants to duck out of a small-time tournament in Bumfuck, CA, but I'm sure it be easier to show up and hack it around fo...

Re: The Tiger Thread

The latest Tiger news is pretty grim. But it's not really moving the needle. People have grown weary of his travails I guess. I'm not hopeful about his chances. Not that I don't think he can recover from this latest surgery. It's just that, listening to him talk during his latest comeback attempt, h...

A trifecta win this week with the mitten, jp and the skanks first win. Excellent. Never a doubt! Actually, I added up Kuehn's score before it was over and was sure that he had won. Who the hell knows how these things work. One more week to go. I am glad this thing is almost over. Gonna take ...

Well the first day has not even been completed due to weather but the U.S. is already down by a considerable margin. They have lost the last two "Solheim Cup" competitions. I say if they lose again this year, they should break up the band and go their separate ways.

So what would you all recommend for someone who hasn't gone to a gym for 10+ years to avoid feeling like a moron the next time they go? Recommend sucking it up and choosing to not give an F. I'm a regular gym dude and could hardly care less about any newbies. People are so self-conscious but the re...

No posts since March. Hopefully everyone's gut reduction regimens are going well. I did some interval sprints last weekend, fucked me up pretty good (in a constructive way) for the next three days. This is from about 15 minutes of activity by the way.
