Re: WTF did you shoot today?

Played 3 holes this morning and shot +2 but super happy about it. First hole I had a 2 putt par from about 50' 2nd hole - 190 yard par 3 I hit a perfect 5i right over the back of the green. Really difficult chip, chilly dipped it then got up & down. Now the fun hole. I didn't transfer my weight and ...

Re: Anything, Dog

Thank goodness everything is fine and she likely just twisted her knee or something minor while running around. She was fine yesterday and today but I still took her being overly cautious given how bad it bothered her on Thursday.

Re: WTF did you shoot today?

I played 4 holes for the first time in a long time this morning. I have to thank the end of daylight savings time (course maintenance is done before I get there) and cold weather (no one was at the course) for giving me the opportunity to play. I was pretty happy. 3/3 fairways 3/4 greens 1 over and ...

Re: Anything, Dog

Jason, are you familiar at all with TPLO, a surgery that changes the relationship of the tibia to the femur and repairs a CCL without replacing ligaments (you have to read up on it, it's hard to explain)? My dog had this done and while it was expensive, it was a great success. She also had a large ...

Re: Anything, Dog

Yeah we have no clue. Going to the vet on Saturday to see what is wrong. Although I'm 99% sure her last surgery failed. She has pretty badly bowed legs so the doctor said any surgery to repair the crutiate will have a pretty high failure rate. Basically her bones just pinch that ligament so anything...

My dog blew out her knee surgery again. She is 11 and been under anesthesia 6 times, I am not sure we can keep doing this to her

Given that daylight savings time is gone, it's about time to start the 2nd annual Legitimate Frozen Balls Challenge. This contest will go until the start of daylight savings time on March 11, 2018. A quick recap of the rules. - If you played well or happened to play ok in some really terrible weathe...

Re: Autumn Support Group Thread

So I wish my driver had a shattered shaft. It would give me a valid reason of why I can't hit it. I have a tournament on Nov 18th and 19th and am considering just snapping it in 2 before hand to remove the urge to pull it from my bag either round. Good thing I got my 3w shaft in the mail. At least I...

I bet 40% of Americans couldn't tell you if they have their lunch break at 12am or 12pm

That exception withstanding, I would agree.

Re: WTF did you buy today?

So I just signed up for the golf week winter tour. It's a team tournament series of 7 tournaments (3 of which are 36 holes).

I don't know the guy in partners with given I didn't have any "golf buddies" in the area. So it will be pretty interesting. Hopefully we get along lol.

Re: golf is hard

Here is a quote from Kyle Lowry (current NBA player) “When it’s basketball season, I really try to focus on basketball,” Lowry said. “But when I can go play, I play. I love the game. People say, ‘How are you going to play golf [in season]?’ When you play golf, there isn’t a wear and tear [physically...

Re: The Tiger Thread

Who'd have thought there be odds. I guess the bookies will allow a bet on anything. You can find odds for everything. Bookies don't mind giving you odds if you don't mind placing a bet. If you look hard enough you could probably find a bookie that is willing to lay you odds on the number of penalty...

Looks like the going rate for a wd is 7-2.

Funny enough a top 10 (out of 18 people) is just slightly better at 11-4.

Re: Just Keep Swimming

So here is one from this weekend.

Not to happy about it. Super shallow still, which is causing the draws/hooks but the length is getting about right.

Re: 2017 LPGA thread

I noticed earlier today that ESPN had a link to an article titled "Feng Shanshan leads..." and they have since switched it to "Shanshan Feng leads..." Seriously what f'ing golf writer doesn't know who Shanshan Feng is? Hopefully some random editor changed the title thinking Shanshan was the last nam...

Re: Replacement shaft

I believe it was on B1.

I set it to a fade bias and the 1 setting. Although I'm more of a "set it & forget it" type of person. So I hadn't touched it in well over a year (since I started drawing/hooking the ball). So I'll have to check when I get home.

Re: Replacement shaft

So to be honest I didn't put a ton of thought into it other than I wanted stiff and 70+ grams. There wasn't a large selection of 5w shafts. Given the prices were low enough I figured if it doesn't work I'll just trade it in and get something else. I'm sure I would benefit from a fitting, but my plan...

Replacement shaft

So I'm not familiar with shafts that much. I'm not going to ask you for an opinion on what shaft I should get, as I don't think that is fair to ask anyone who's never really seen my swing. But I'm open to hear thoughts on different shafts if you want to post them. My question is about the adapter on...
