Re: The Get A Grip Thread

Also, DougE since you weren't around at the start, what do you think of using compressed air? This will be my first swap since going tapeless, and for once I am actually looking forward to re-gripping and not dreading the process. I really don't see any down side to it as long as the double-sided s...

Re: The Get A Grip Thread

I wasn't around when this thread originally began. Had I been, I surely would have added my 2 cents. Probably a lot more. At the time, I was still flailing and slapping around trying to stay afloat with my head barely above water over in the SG360 forums. Thankfully, Jason reached out a helping hand...

Re: "Bookend" the Year!

Thoughtful and interesting post Brian. Thanks for the effort. I'm jealous I can't be out there, but glad you were. Appreciate the pics. Actually those greens don't look all that bad.

Re: "Bookend" the Year!

Had hoped to get out today and tomorrow to bookend the year, but not possible. Yesterday, had an MRI on left shoulder (still waiting for results), then spent rest of day mostly off my feet due to sore throat/bad head cold/I-dunno-what-the-hell is wrong with me now. Felt a little better this morning,...

Re: 2016 Goals

1. Goal was to get GIR average up over 40%. Success: Got it to almost 50%. (49.something%) 2. Play 143 or more rounds, to beat my record. Failure: Only made it to 131 (or 132, depending on whether I am able to play tomorrow). Mostly due to a bunch of physical issues that arose throughout the season....

Re: To or away from danger.

If the danger is left, I will typically START the ball right and try to draw it in whenever possible since I will rarely overcook it. It might not draw, but then will leave me well right of the target and not close to the danger. So, if I understand the question (which I'm not sure I do now, or did ...

Having said that I also expect him to be out there carding scores very soon. I thought he would be laid up for a long time, you know after his calf exploded or whatever. Then like a couple days later he's posting in "What'd you shoot today?" talking about shooting a disappointing 77 or something. Y...

According to the hospital they suspect it was a strain of bad Novovirus, probably picked up on their way up from FL. Highly contagious. I'm guessing we weren't the only house along the I-95 corridor to be infected with this wonderful holiday surprise.

Re: What did you get for Christmas

The problem with these new Titleist works of art from your family is that they are each unique and have special meaning. You had better not use them on shots you can lose them.

Thx for your good wishes Brian.

Re: What did you get for Christmas

Food Poisoning or Novo virus. Bad either way. 10 members of my family all came down hard with it, within hours of each other, myself included. My 88-year old mom was taken to the hospital by ambulance. One of my nephews was also admitted. Oh what a wonderful day/night. There's a new pair of Footjoy ...

Re: WTF did you shoot today?

No Christmas Miracles today. 85. Worst score since October, I think. Drove the ball well and hit some great shots, but 3-putted a few too many times. And, my left shoulder is becoming a problem. I can handle the 85, it's the pain in my shoulder giving me concern.

Like the upgrade. Looks a little fresher. And the new selection of Smiles. I'd give it a thumbs up, but that one seems to be missing now. Wha'happened?

If you gave me $500 and said I could only spend on golf, doesn't sound exciting but I want a back up set of irons. I love my G25's and they are so perfect for me that since they were discontinued I've wanted another set just in case. If that counts as more than one item, I'd probably get a Scotty a...

Awesome shot BK. Thanks for sharing. Looks like it was really painful a few days ago. Nice work. No wonder you're such a good golfer. You look just like Ben Crenshaw (though in a younger version).
