Re: the Tiger thread

Even par and 16 of 20. In the old days, we could expect Tiger to start climbig the leaderboard and give a scare to the leaders. Sigh. Doesn't happen anymore.

Re: What did you shoot today?

My 100th round today. Shot 79. No birdies and had to scramble to make pars. Not hitting the ball well this Autumn.

Most courses are closing this weekend or have already closed. I may get a couple more rounds in but the season is on life support.

Re: Sort of Humorous - Parte Seconda

I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING. I JUST CUT AND PASTE. A pair of cows were talking in the field. One says, “Have you heard about the mad cow disease that’s going around?” “Yeah,” the other cow says. “Makes me glad I’m a penguin.” “Once, my father came home and found me in front of a ro...

Fortunately, the wind was helping for a couple of the opening holes and I got off to a good start. I ended ...

Best Shot of the Month

My September was a bit truncated by a 2 week visit to Sweden and Denmark. So the best shot goes all the way back to September 4th. It was the second (last) day of the Livonia City Championship. The leader of the "Super Senior" flight had shot a 71 gross the first day. 2nd place was held by...

Re: Sort of Humorous - Parte Seconda

This is not my fault. I am just the editor. I eliminated the truly awful ones. Ponderisms: 1. I used to eat a lot of natural foods until I learned that most people die of natural causes. 4. Healthy is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die. 5. The only difference between a rut and a g...

:P
I saw a little blurb that Tiger's son, Charlie, was getting the last spot. Highly skeptical about that. :?:

Anyone Use the 6-8-10 Formula for Chipping ...

... or something similar? The 6-8-10 method refers to the 6 iron, 8 iron and pitching wedge (10). It compares flight in the air versus roll out. I rarely use anything less lofted than a 9 iron and tend to go with either a pitching wedge (lower & more roll) or my 56-degree sand wedge (higher &...
