Re: the Tiger thread

Buckle up for the rough ride is what I say. We may not like it, we may hate it, but the guy has earned his place and now gets to finish out his career on his own terms. I was just the other day reading about Muhammad Ali and the sad end to his sports career. But hey at least golf is a sport where pe...

Wondering the same myself. I am not playing rounds. It is extra busy around here lately. Do we get snowbird vacationers? I had not thought of it before, but probably we do.

Re: Stretching and flexibility thread

I stretch daily unless work interferes, which is typically a day a week. 20-25 minute routine, makes the back much better, has added some yards to my game. I really shouldn't swing a club without stretching but it can be done. Can't say the same about my tennis game - I should never ever play witho...

Re: Grumble Thread

Not getting off that easy MattF. 1) Alcohol is a proven sleep disrupter and B) non-psychoactive cannabis products (specifically for aiding sleep) are widely available! You probably heard of "CBD" or possibly "CBN". Worth a try. Believe me I like alcohol as much as the next guy (a...

Stretching and flexibility thread

This is like, a final frontier for me. Since sometime mid-2023, I started stretching daily, reluctantly. Like most people I loathe the act. But it has revolutionized my whole stupid world as it pertains to golf. I used to get such soreness from whacking balls. In between swings I would sit there try...

Re: 2023-24 Winter golf support group thread

Hey Dougie. Prior to the storm they thought we would get the worst of it, here on a south-facing mountainside. But it moved south and parked over Los Angeles and did damage there instead. We got 7" over the past five days, which is enough to close down the driving range for a while but an other...

Re: Grumble Thread

Get yourself some of that newly legal Ohio cannabis to help with sleep. IMO.

I am so glad it wasn't a heart attack. Those are really inconvenient.

Re: 2023-24 Winter golf support group thread

I like the arms raised in triumph, it's very positive. I would have posed them downward. Today I go whack balls but with a heavy heart. We are on the verge of some heavy sustained rainfall and I expect to be out of commission for about a week starting tomorrow. Been working feverishly, and working t...

Re: PGA/LIV/DPW 2023

Pro golf getting worse by the day. Jon Rahm leaving the PGAT was an actual disappointment for me, as I did like that guy and his game. Then some amateur wins a fairly big PGAT event. An exceptional achievement but I cannot help but see it as an indictment of the current level of the PGAT. And to top...
