To a scratch golfer ( 0 Hcp ).
Not that anyone probably cares, but Golf Pad updated their FAQ:
Q: Is the Strokes Gained statistic calculated off of the average scratch golfer or a PGA Tour player?
A: Strokes gained is a stat that is measured against the average PGA Tour player's performance.
(So not scratch (0), but 'average PGA Tour player' ( anecdotally, +4.7 ?))

Not yet but I will...
They're shipping me a new Putter tag.
Few weeks back my Sw tag stopped working. They shipped me a new Sw tag too.

I set up my new irons in GameGolf. Plan on using 5-Gw. I'm gonna bring the 4i along to hit a few when the I get the chance. Don't tell the rules committee.
Oh, little side note, I switched out that Driver stiff shaft I used last year, then shortened & used some more... back to the stock R flex in my Covert 2.0 for now.

So 3 years in (and I bought my set used). I broke my first gamegolf tag.
I pulled my 9i out of the bag today at the range and noticed the tag was broken. Not sure where it is as I couldn't find it in my bag.
Now I only have 3 replacement tags left.
I read in their support that if a tag breaks you can send them pictures and they'll send a free replacement. I'm going to do that, although the only pictures I have are of the screw section that was still in my grip. I do not know where the main tag portion is. I'll see if they send me a free replacement.
This is not burger king you can not have it your way.

Can you believe I've been chosen to test a skygolf product? The Linx GT watch with tags. I'll do my best to make sure I'm as unbiased as possible.

I know, right? I burst out laughing when I saw I was chosen. I was able to start a new account using the same email address too.

Beware. Could be a trap.

I'll take the chance, but I'll be wary.

So I got my new 9i tag in the mail today. Nice that they sent a free one because it broke.

I'm going to switch to Game Golf for a bit. I noticed that Golfpad's fairway detection is quite a bit off after digging into recent rounds. Now that Game Golf's app is free and considering I'm now 'tagging' with a cheap/used Pebble Watch that I picked up (works with Golfpad and Game Golf), I decided to mess with it.
I entered my last round shot for shot in Game Golf and it correctly identified fairways hit. It also provides much more details and flexibility with regards to strokes gained stats. I realize I've been hitting short irons like a complete moron recently, but Game Golf was able to illustrate just how big of a factor APPROACH shots contribute to your score (Hint: it's by far the most important).

I'm still dicking around with the Linx GT, which, for GPS is pretty good, but the app is awful.
I might offload it on Ebay and get the new Shot Scope V2 that comes out in August. From what I hear so far, it's the ducks guts.

Yeah. I've read from other testers that the Linx was pretty rough, tech wise.
Shot Scope V2 looks pretty sweet, I just can't get over the size. I have dainty wrists.

It looks like it's the same size as the Linx, which is just a bit bigger than my Seiko.
