if you like their clothes, try http://www.shopfortyone.com, it is not the newer stuff, but it is Loudmouth at greatly discounted prices on older designs.

You know, I've never been the biggest fan of Daly or garish clothes, but there's something likable about those loudmouth shorts/pants. I don't have the balls to wear any of it, but I can appreciate it from afar, sort of.

Today I've entered a new world of leisure golf. My PING 4 series stand bag is falling apart, and was a pain on my beach trip getting clubs in/out. So today I accepted that I'm not walking as much as before, and bought a cart bag.

Big ol pockets. Insulated drink area (I think) 14 way divider.
I'm gonna hit a provisional

If you get a push cart, you would still have the flexibility to walk or ride.

I haven't bought anything golf related in a bit & need to...

Any shaft-oids around here? This thing any good?
http://www.globalgolf.com/golf-accessor ... 6&styp=146

Thought is a shorter, stiffer shaft. Plus it has cool skull & crossbones on it.

It's a solid shaft. A buddy just bought a used Titleist 913 Driver which has a similar shaft (Phenom 60) and he's hitting it better. He was hitting an old Big Bertha which he was hooking the crap out of. He's hitting the new club much better.

Note that the link you posted is for the 50 gram, which is considered 'ultralight'. I think the Phenom has a bunch of different weights available. Make sure you get something with a suitable weight.

He is right man. You made the choice. You could've gotten another stand bag. Look these days I ride as much as the next prick but I carry the lightweight stand bag. With pride. It is part of who I am.

I used the new "cart bag" today. I had to quickly transfer my (minimal) belongings from my awesome slim PING 4 Series carry bag into the svelt but yet foreign and weirdly fat looking PING Traverse cart bag. The 14 way dividers seemed so spaced apart, and tidy. I am not used to that. Pockets everywhere. I put my car keys in the insulated cooler pocket, cluelessly.

Hey- I'm keeping the stand bag - for when I walk. but the new gizmotronic cart bag (small ish, comparatively) is now officially happening.

I split the difference and got a "big" stand bag. It's just a little bigger than the ultra lightweight bags. Has a 7 way divider and more pockets than I need.

It weighs 1 lb more than the unltra lightweight bags.

But I also use a push cart when I'm allowed to walk.
Keep it short stupid.

Thanks for mentioning the weight. I didn't even think of that. I hit reg. shafts o.k. & don't swing all that hard or fast, but have tried some stiffer shafts lately & like the "solid" feel.

I would be wary of a stiff shaft being too firm... am I correct that shorter & stiffer shaft is kinda offset by being lighter? Does that make sense? i.e. - if I don't want too stiff: going shorter & stiffer but lightweight might be a good combo?

The shorter you make it the stiffer it gets. The lighter weight will probably give you a higher torque measurement, but not by much. Lower torque is usually better for straighter shots. Lighter weight should give you a little (very little) bit of added swing speed which could result in higher ball flight. But the RIP is not a high launch shaft. It's more of a low-mid trajectory design (more mid). Will be curious to hear how it works for you. It is a very good shaft for those who fit it well.

Cart vs Carry Bags - WTF Did You Buy

Post by bkuehn1952 » Fri May 06, 2016 7:42 pm

Hey, everyone understands the transition process from carrying/pushing/pulling to riding. I could wax poetic about being one with the land, the feel of turf beneath my feet and my bag jingling along as I stroll across the landscape. The truth is I am as lazy as the next guy. If I wasn't saving $10 to $15 a round walking, I am riding. And I would probably have some fat-ass "cart" bag if I was willing to spend the money to have two golf bags.

So I remain a single light weight bagger trudging around the course in hopes of saving enough so I don't end up in some run down apartment in Flint trying to survive on my monthly Social Security check.
Let's Play 36

Interesting. Thanks for the info... It should be on my doorstep when I get home. I'm up in Maine on a puppy trip. I'll post a couple pup pics in the other thread. Very likely I'll end up with 1 of the 2 pups I have picked out.

Shaft came @ 45.75". Not exactly as advertised. It was suppose to be 44" & SHORTER than my current shaft. It's a 1/4" longer...
I re-gripped it & got it ready to go but it seems looooooong. I'll choke down for now but may cut that bitch down at a later date. We'll see.

Got a new Cleveland Tour Action wedge today, replacing the old 52* wedge with a 50* wedge to close the gap with the PW from the Ping set I bought last year.

Won a $50 gift card to Dick's from volunteering, had another coupon, so broke down and bought the Ping G25 3 wood. Now got to wait until mid day Saturday to hit it.
