I think the furrman said some time ago that he had been looking at old GOW's. Sort of a shame that all this "stuff" will just go into the digital trash heap. I will admit to looking at these in the past. I always sort of wondered why some of the GOW's volunteered. A few never really participated in anything, posted a few scores and promptly disappeared. Oh well, them's dayz is gone. :jesus

Wow, i don't think i realize Beef was a fellow GOW. You sounded so much more optimistic back then, shooting 72's and 73's and what not. Single digits. And look at all those comments! Those certainly were the days.

Yeah tell me about it. You can read all about my misery in the swing confessions thread. I am well aware that I have become a shell of my former golf self. It is a source of great torment and confusion. I guess it is funny to dredge up painful memories and joke around about them as long as they are not your own, and I guess also that some people think they are doing something good by continuing to shame me in this way.

I will bring them. Question is will I have enough time. I might can try to add an extra day to the trip, if I get approval. When I played with CeeBee on thanksgiving weekend that was pretty darn cold. Wouldn't Jan be worse? Are courses even open?

As long as there is no snow on the ground and the temps are reasonably tolerable (40ish) with little wind, the course will likely be open and I'll be up to play. Last winter I played until we had a 3-foot snow dump the 3rd week of January. It took 3 1/2 weeks for everything to melt, but I was finally able to get back on the course again on Feb. 22, and continued throughout the rest of the winter.

If you can't play but already took the extra day, you are more than welcome to come down here on your way back.

I think we had 1 day last year the courses were closed.
Keep it short stupid.

My issue with time is that my wife wants to do a bunch of DC stuff so I have to carefully plan how much I break away solo for golf. I do want to get a lesson up in there with a pro I know.

Nope- haven't got my shit together yet on this actually the original plan was to coincide with something else which we decided to skip. So now, it's just about finding a good weekend to make trip
