LOL. I've played in some miserable conditions early on for sure with tees up. My round at Hollow Creek 0n 2/26/17 would be my contender. Moved back to the whites. Played 6384 yards, 70.8 rate/137 slope. 37* start temp with some wind. Finished at 47*. Shot 79/ Net 71. Not low enough to grab the GOLD.
Tee it up!

I don't think this one is a winner, but it is MY winner for the off-season. Snuck in a final round before the snow flies tonight. 40 degrees, up to about 15 mph breeze. Felt 36ish. Played the white tees, which are up for winter. Playing about 5800 estimate. Unfortunately, the blues are back, playing about 6500 and a bit too long in this cold for this old man. Shot 75/net 66. I don't feel it should be the winner, but maybe honorable mention. Both CeeBee and BK have better rounds IMO.

Trophée de Legitimate Frozen Balls Challenge

Post by bkuehn1952 » Mon Apr 17, 2017 5:47 pm

I have received the Trophée de Legitimate Frozen Balls Challenge (best if pronounced with a fake French accent). It arrived in fine shape so special thanks to the Legitimate Golf shipping department (aka jfish).

For the display of the Trophée de Legitimate Frozen Balls Challenge, I have selected a place of utmost honor within my humble abode. I can hardly wait until I am able to get rid of it pass this cherished emblem of Winter Supremacy on to the next champion.

Is it being used as a paperweight for the free golf digest magazines?
Keep it short stupid.

Touché, as they say in France (at least during "The 3 Musketeers"). :thumbs

I just received my lovely Frozen Balls Challenge trophy today after BK so graciously packaged it up with some beautiful designer paper towel, which I'm hoping was not "used," as well as a crumpled-up local advertising flier from Ace Hardware, and sent it to me on a slow boat from China, I think. It was such a high class presentation.

Brian also added a few extra trinkets, which I'm not quite sure of the meaning. 5 golf balls, each of which is a rare specimen....and old. A bi-metal Blitz, a Ping Eye 2 (1/2 pink and 1/2 white), an old Titleist Pro V test ball from the early 2000s, an unmarked off-center-weighted mystery ball which seems extremely lightweight, and an illegal Polaris Ultimate Straight, which I can't wait to hit to see the results. In fact, I am about to go out in the backyard and hit the off-center-weighted one right now, out of curiosity.

Thanks for your thoughtfulness BK. Now that you have my address, feel free to send me any other cool stuff you come across. I'm rooting for you to win the Frozen Balls Challenge next year. I already have some ideas of what I will include in the package when I send it back to you. :P

BK has a good sense of humor. That is a nicely curated selection.

Your Christmas gift may be my "Rainbow Dozen" collection. Hope you enjoy the trophy and the other stuff as much as I did. :thumbs
