I don't know what you are complaining about. They didn't even open my course today. Never really got above freezing. At least you played.

I guess, on the bright side for me, I didn't make a single bogey, or double, for that matter today. :-P

Whoa, I assumed you were out there playing 36 or whatever. Hard times. I tried to play on Thursday but they wouldn't let me in. February golf seems likely but right now we are day to day. Looks like some rain and warmer temps later this week.

Believe it or not I am practicing really hard lately, in the living room.

Nope, no play this weekend. Front gates closed and locked. With no golf to play on a cold winter day, I wanted to go to my locker yesterday to take some measurements (so I could build an organizer insert for it) and I couldn't even get on the damn property.

Since I am committed for 5 more years at Worthington, I decided I'm gonna use my locker much more than in the past. Like everyday. Seems sorta pedestrian to be putting my shoes on out in the parking lot when I have a perfectly good lockeroom with nice cherry personalized locker inside. So, I'm gonna move a bunch more stuff in there. A few more pairs of shoes, some extra shirts, jackets, extra hats, my Yeti (which I seem to forget at home a lot, often on the hottest days), a supply of G2, power bars/snacks, 5 or 6 dozen Pro Vs, incidentals, etc, etc. I'm going to make it into my home away from home.

Son of a bitch! I just glanced outside. It's freakin' snowing. I hate winter.

Wow. This place is really dead. Not one post in nearly 24 hours. How can we get winter season support if there is no one here to support us? I check in multiple times a day, so if you need some help and can deal with one of my long-winded responses, I'm here for you. If nothing else, it might put you to sleep and out of your winter misery.
Sorry I was busy hitting the ball left of the green chipping to 15' and 2 putting.
My excuse is that when I got done playing Friday, Saturday and Sunday, I was taking out my old bedroom furniture so I could move in the new bedroom furniture. :thumbs
I will stand in the fairway, I want to be out of your range.

The NWS just hired a new guy from Hawaii to run their text message system.

Sheet of ice here. Literally unwalkable right now. Driveway, deck and walkway all skate-able and definitely slip-and-fall-able. Going out in the garage to replace some grips.

I find it funny that there is a massive Winter Olympiad, which is pretty much entirely based around the premise that frozen water is slippery. That is basically all it is. The Sliding Across Frozen Water Games.

Nearly two days and not a single golf-related post on the GOLF boards. I'm done being disappointed every time I check in throughout the day. I'm gonna go read a book or something. God, I'm sooo bored. This 2018 Season Support Group thread is falling woefully short of doing its job. :fuckall

And after this, it's still the case. Ah!

Just funning with you, Doug. Anyway, to make you feel better (perhaps?), have you watched the coverage of Pebble Beach today? Gorgeous scenery and gorgeous weather (and some golf thrown in too). :ohyeah
I'm gonna go low this time...

Very little golf going on around here. Nonstop rain right now. Posting mainly so that Doug does not get too anxious.

Still never know, but winter feels like it might be winding down. The window for major snow events is getting smaller. If we are going to have any more big motherfucker snowstorms, they are likely going to have to defy some seasonal norms.

I like looking back at this thread. I think shit like this serves an underrated anthropological or even a meteorological purpose. Sure we have copious weather data records up the ass, but that does not tell the whole picture. Personal observations help too. And where else would you find such observations, neatly time-stamped and archived? Here! Maybe in a few thousand years' time future humans will study our weather-related bitching and moaning, for better understanding of What Life Used To Be Like.

New forecast developed overnight. Now expecting some wet, shitty snow for tomorrow night through Sunday. Predictions range from 1-7" at the moment. I'm guessing lower end though. Tomorrow daytime will be high 30s. Not much choice but to get it on.

Got a bunch of wet sloppy grossness last night. Some accumulation, 1", maybe 2. Already it's melting in the sun. Really not worth bumming out over, since Wednesday's forecast calls for a "record-tying" 69°. :puke Better break out those cargo shorts.

Oh, too early for shorts you say? Well, have fun sweating in your chinos because on Thursday here comes

72 DEGREES

....and every Tom, Dick and Harry out of the woodwork. Good luck.

BTW, I don't wear "chinos." Only pants from the 2000s specifically designed for golf. They may look like chinos, but they are technically constructed golf fashion wear of the highest standard, with no chance of sweating through at the lower part of the butt crack....like chinos. C'mon man, I know I'm old, but give me a break, I'm not a cave man. :fk
