Got colder than expected here last night, was looking at the earliest an 11:00 tee time, wanted to watch the football playoffs. On the course I was not scheduled for, someone accidentally turned on the irrigation last night, and they have ice all over the course.
I will stand in the fairway, I want to be out of your range.

Suck on this winter.

And no the fan isn't a possible miss (although my wife hates it and is ok if I take it out accidentally).

Expecting another 1-2" snow today then the temperature steadily increases to a high of 49° on Sunday.

I think i see the possibility of golf coming here in atlanta. 58 on Saturday, and 61 on sunday with no precipitation. If that holds up, i'll be on the course Saturday (got tennis on sunday). Can't wait; been about a month so i'm itching to get out. Tomorrow has a high of 30 though, so there's still a chance for that those weekend highs are overstated.

Flurries turned into 3-5" for us supposedly. Today is golfable but cold, in the 30s. I might make a break for it, still deciding.

Well if you believe the 3-5 inch forecast, you should first make sure the course is open and then get the hell over there.

On the other hand, based on our forecast here, which is usually a few degrees warmer than yours, it looks like mid 40s and 50s after Wednesday and continuing at least for the next 7 days or more with lots of sun through the weekend. Those are good snow-melting conditions. My bet is, even if you don't go for it today, you will be able to play some golf in a bit warmer conditions on the weekend or next week. One way or another, I think you will get in some January golf soon if you want.

It's done. I initiated launch sequence. Sitting on the boat now. It says 34 degrees but I just rode 5 miles on bike and its not that bad. Overcast with light winds. Why does it tend to feel warmer when its cloudy?

Trying to put my "golf face" ( :rofl ) on before I start the round. Been over three weeks. Gotta fight through some rust.

This year it feels like we've had as many different subtle varieties of snow as we have had snow days. Today was kind of frosty and lumpy and looked like icing or powdered sugar as you would find on top of desserts. Every snowflake is unique, duh. But I see now that every snowfall is also unique.

Growing up, we all probably heard a hundred times about how "the Eskimos" have like hundreds of different words for frozen water, the obvious implication being what silly, primitive, simple-minded people. Bullshit. This year I am coming to the realization that there is in truth a gigantic spectrum of the different physical states of dihydrogen monoxide. In the western world however, we boil em down to basically water, ice, snow. Doesn't that make us the simple ones? The answer is yes it does.

That's right. Steam used to power the whole world. Now, people act like they have no time for it. :nope

Played 18 today. Was supposed to be high 40s. Don't think it made it to 45. Not looking good for golf on the horizon, weather-wise. Maybe a mid-40s day next week. Maybe. But, I've got Florida in my sites at least for a few rounds in the 2nd half of the month. So there's that.

Wow. This place is really dead. Not one post in nearly 24 hours. How can we get winter season support if there is no one here to support us? I check in multiple times a day, so if you need some help and can deal with one of my long-winded responses, I'm here for you. If nothing else, it might put you to sleep and out of your winter misery.

Teed off it was 36 degrees, and when I finished it was 33.

I shot terribly and 18 broke my streak of 9 straight bogies. Thanks to a 160 yard 8i over the green in 33 degree weather. WTF, I don't hit 8i that far in 70 degree weather.

Highlight of the day was the 2 guys hitting their approach on #9 when I went to pay. I was hitting my chip on #12 when I heard them hitting their approaches on #14. I caught them on #15 :fk after playing #12, 13 and 14 at 3 over (one par 5 too) and 15 is a short par 4.

Sorry I was busy hitting the ball left of the green chipping to 15' and 2 putting.
