Opened flood gate at lake murray. This is normally, like always, a bare rocky dry river bypass. I have never seen this flowing

Gov about to make press conference. Rain slowed now. Looks like I'm lucky in right in a small zone of low rainfall.

Serpents coming out of the faucets, that's biblical proportions.

Gov Haley giving excellent press conference right now. 70 miles of I-95 closed. Interstates around Columbia closed. Through tomorrow it appears.

Yes I live up a hill kind of on river bluff. But also just somehow I'm like in a small area that got less rainfall that others. Lucky.

They are talking about roads safety. Underlying possible weaknesses, soft ground type issues

Wind has picked up. Weird. It's like tropical storm rain. Lost power again. Every couple minutes it goes out. This time it might be out for a while it seems.

Hang tough furr. I am wondering how many people will be able to go back to work. The mess won't really be evident until the flooding goes down.

Thanks y'all

We just got power back. Everything is closed tomorrow. They just announced going to let more water out of lake Murray dam and recommended evacuation of people 1/4 mile from river. We are close, but up the bluff.

No power. Curfews in effect. It's creepy dark and silent. We still have water, but other friends do not and they say 3-4 days before repaired
