You run into interesting people online

Mardavkey over at SkyGolf360 posted this:

Thanks for the question. I toured around Europe, Scandinavia and USA with a great band, The Mink DeVille Band. from 1992 to 2007. Willy DeVille was our lead singer/songwriter.

Bob Dylan says Willy should be in the R'N'R Hall of Fame. Willy and his wife bought me a set of Titleist 680 blades after I helped him with phone calls and logistics filming our concert at Paradiso in Amsterdam 2005 (Willy DeVille Live In The Lowlands).

Thanks to Willy I played golf in 13 countries and got to have dinner with Neil Young in Austria. Lots of great times.

Golf in the south of France and Spain is awesome. Check out Dolce Fregate if you get the chance. It is awesome.

I had a 4.9 handicap for a while back then. Now at 60 yrs old...7.4. After 8 yrs of chemo hangin tough. Golf, music and red wine is good medicine.
Cheers, DK

Anyone ever heard of this band? The question I asked was about the post title when he introduced himself.
Let's Play 36
GHIN Handicap: 7.8 … 9.2 … Let’s just say I am around a 14!

Have I heard of Mink DeVille? Um, maybe. Can't be sure though.
Golf is too hard. Stupid golf.

The mention of Mink Deville put me in mind of Cruella De Ville:

Colum Muinzer was (probably still is) a fantastic guitar player.
Golf is too hard. Stupid golf.
