Re: The El Tigré Thread
Just looked up some actual scores. A lot of supposedly good, young, tight golfers shot the same score or worse than El Tigré yesterday. Day, Fowler, John Ram, all shot 73s. Rory also had a 73, but deserves his own mention because he was in the final group with a real chance to win. How many back fusions has that guy had? Jordan's performance was maybe the stinkiest of all. Over par for 3 out of 4 rounds.
The point is, step back from the microscope and take a look around jack.

Re: The El Tigré Thread
I heard somewhere that El Tigré said he was either going to shoot 62-63 or mid to high 70s because he was going to be going at a lot of flags yesterday (i.e. take chances.)

Re: The El Tigré Thread
I love the media around El Tigré (or really any big figure for any industry).
Earlier this year "El Tigré's swing speed is 125+mph, this can't be good for his back. He would do better by dialing it back a notch or two."
In the last week "El Tigré's swing speed has gone down over the course of the year. Is this a reason to be concerned?"

Re: The El Tigré Thread
Chill. He's okay. A little rough start, but there are still over 70 holes to play. Have some faith.

Re: The El Tigré Thread
I am usually a wait-n-see, lotta-holes-to-play guy but I just saw a driver swing from El Tigré that made me very um, not optimistic.

Re: The El Tigré Thread
Good thing El Tigré's not a bitch-ass quitter, like some of his fans. Like this one.
I am still not convinced though. Maybe he can play his game into shape like at the 08 USO. Hmm maybe I am convinced.

Re: The El Tigré Thread
Watching now. El Tigré got ripshit pissed that a chip didn't go in the hole. Looks like a different player than yesterday, like one who has a chance here.

Re: The El Tigré Thread
Gotta love Finau's front nine, opens with 5 birdies, triple, 2 more birdies, bogey.

Re: The El Tigré Thread
El Tigré now in top ten, another weekend at a major championship. He really looked doomed there on the front nine on day 1. Shows what I know.

Re: The El Tigré Thread
Wow hits every gir from 11-18 and pars them all, with one 3 putt.
So gross, if he just makes two of them he's in the final grouping.

Re: The El Tigré Thread
That realistic chance at eagle, which turned into a three-putt par, really hurt. But he is in the mix, yet AGAIN. For anyone who thinks he's washed up, think again. Is Rickie Fowler washed up? I don't think so. He, too, always seems to be in the mix. Just not as much as El Tigré's been lately.

Re: The El Tigré Thread
I am not optimistic about today. But still, quite impressed at El Tigré comeback. Last year he was crashing his car all zonked out on drugs, and looked doomed. Doomed I tell you. Whatever happens in this tournament and the rest of the so-called PGA Tour season, El Tigré has completely flipped the script. Even the sorriest losers in society were probably feeling sorry for him at that point. Now look. Back to being the number one guy in TV golf.
It almost seems normal at this point, El Tigré contending in majors, but think about how messed up he was last year, I mean really think about it Jack. Golf is really not like other sports. Hard to determine when a player is actually truly done.

Re: The El Tigré Thread
Oh my, the wife has me regrouting my shower today. I took the last 30 min off to let things dry after cleaning up when I got the old grout out.
Not sure I can put in the new grout after that wedge into #3.

Move the TV or fire up the smartphone TV. Even at it's most thrilling, there is a lot of good groutin' time during a golf broadcast.

Re: The El Tigré Thread
Who could be against putting this guy on the stupid Ryder Cup team? A topnotch iron player and clutch putter who feeds off of huge crowds? What the f more could you want. End the stupid debate. Let the El Tigré cup it up.

Re: The El Tigré Thread
Other than media who are simply trying to produce clicks or views who is actually debating putting him in the Ryder cup?
If he doesn't get picked it's because he told fyruk to not pick him and he only wants to play if he can play his way in.
