Not surprised at the scores, but was surprised at her reaction to them.

Wake up all you ingrates. I know how much you love second/third tier professional women's golf, and I know you are probably already up to speed on all the particulars but I would feel remiss if I did not announce for everyone here that their favorite pro golfer is back for another beating in Dubai at the Ladies European Tour's Dubai Ladies "Masters" tournament. She is T87 after round one, ten shots back of the leader. Listen, what do you do for a living? Do you think you could beat that score? That's what I thought. She is a hard-working legitimate pro, she deserves a chance like everyone else. Stop being such a hater.

If she putts as well as she takes a selfie, she might make the cut.

She might be able to beat Shanshan Feng in a round of speed golf.
Let's Play 36
GHIN Handicap: 7.8 … 9.2 … Let’s just say I am around a 14!

Guess you haven't read the news so I'll spell it out. Our gal has just gotten engaged. That's right, to be married. That's right, to a man. This is no longer about golf. This is about a woman who has reached a major crossroads in life. LISTEN TO ME: PAIGE GOT ENGAGED. Her whole career and marketability are now teetering on an existential knife edge. If she can somehow pull off this hot sexy golf party gal schtick while also being a dutiful wife and honoring her matrimonial vows, I will be seriously impressed.

Ahhh... the rest of the story, as Paul Harvey used to say. I agree, her "career" is likely over. Maybe the end result was all part of her plan.

It appears that she brought the guy along to Dubai. Where I am guessing, he got a load of all the 'friends' Paigey made on her last big trip to the Middle East if you catch my drift and felt a need to stake his claim. Decided he needed to go for the green in two if you will, ha ha. Well he made it. This will be an unpopular opinion but I am happy for the guy.

Wow. I am a bit stunned that this thread managed to fall all the way back to the third page of this subforum.

Anyways, Paige was featured in the latest SI swimsuit thing. As usual she is dragging around a big, cooked-up controversy and a bunch of lecturing about women's empowerment and bullying and shit.

Not specifically attacking Paige here, as she's just another dumb kid craving attention and fame. But the whole Paige phenomenon that has gripped the world of golf in these last couple of years has produced undeniable proof that civilization is a failed/failing experiment. I know that is a heavy trip to lay on some silly SDSU chick but again, I don't mean to put undue blame on Paige. I'm just saying her situation reveals much about the arc of humanity. Just go to any golf discussion board (besides this one, duh) and read the conversations about her.
