Other than breathing in and breathing out, there is nothing I have done for 60 straight years.

Will the furrman remember to set a line-up when the Masters is played? Vegas has it 3:2 he forgets as a result of his euphoric state. What does Coda say?

So I really like the drive/chip/putt thing. Prior to having a kid I would have not cared at all. But now that my son likes going to topgolf and hitting golf balls this event seems really interesting to me.

Sunday I had it on the TV and my son was on the couch when these kids would hit a put he would say "go go go" then when it missed he would say "ohhh no" the couple of them that went in he clapped for. It was pretty funny. That lasted about 5-10 min then he wanted to watch some cartoon.
Keep it short stupid.

Sounds like me watching golf. Hard to stick around if the weather allows one to play. Yesterday there was snow covering the grass and the temperature was 30 degrees at 1:30pm. Easy to put my feet up and alternate napping with watching the LPGA.

What is the compelling story of Masters 2016?

Post by bkuehn1952 » Mon Apr 04, 2016 10:12 am

What is the compelling story of Masters 2016? The idea that one of the "young gunz" will plant their flag leaves me a bit flat. Phil doesn't need another Masters title and I don't see any of the older guys being enough on form to make a run. Tiger is out so we can't watch in anticipation waiting for him to:
a. implode
b. make a run
c. limp in after hurting his back/leg/arm/wrist

There almost always is a decent story. This year we may just have to wait for it to develop.

The 2011 Masters Champion was Charl Schrwartzel.

What kind of name is Charl, you might ask.

Well here is something to consider. If Charl had been given the pluralized and more common name of Charles, would his full name be pronounced any different? The answer is no, not really! 'Charles Schrwartzel' sounds identical to 'Charl Schrwartzel'. Maybe this is something Charl's parents anticipated.

Wow, I think my life has changed. Thanks Duke for unearthing that little number. The lyrics at the end of the song really spoke to me: "La da di da, la da da da di ... La da di da, la da da da di... La da di da, la da da da di... La da di da, la da da da di... La da di da, la da da da di... La da di da, la da da da di... La da di da, la da da da di...

That Mike Stone really knows how to tell a story.

"Ah luv the Maa-hasturrrs..." For better or worse this is now the theme song of the week. :facepalm I played it too many times for goofs and now it's stuck in my head.

So this Mike Stone fellow, has got to be a Powerball winner, or an heir or something like that right?

He must be well-off, 'cause he can't sing.....or write. He's terrible.

On the other hand, money is no object when you love to sing and write music, with hopes of someday becoming good at it. Sounds a lot like all of us who play golf. :facepalm

Yeah but you can't pay for commercial air time with hopes and dreams! Don't know if you caught it but this ad was running on TGC all weekend.

"I love the Masters.... one week in April..."

For the last couple days I am walking around singing this to myself. :facepalm

Who is the oldest former Master champion in the photo? (I do not know the answer).

Jack Burke, Jr and Doug Ford are the two oldest former champions but I don't know if either of them made it. Last guy on the left sitting looks fairly ancient.
