I can't agree more. Did I watch ANY of the U.S. Open? No. Not one single minute other than a few online minutes at work on streaming. I love playing golf. I can't muster any energy to watch golf, especially professional golf on TV. How did that decade old song go, "where have all the John Wayne's gone?"

Our gal is heading over to the continent to do a bit of shopping and sight seeing this weekend instead of playing golf in the UK. How many years are left on her Nike deal?

Good question. Would be great to see her freed up to wear as many different sponsor logos as humanly possible.

Well, our gal may have screwed up. She made the cut and now, (eye roll), has to play all weekend. Only 18 shots behind going into the weekend and tied for 70th. I am going to guess that this week, not counting endorsement deals, that I may have made almost as much money as our young lady.

Did you notice that Dad is caddying this week? Been a tough fiscal year at MichelleCorp. Gotta pick up the slack.

I recently saw a small interview of our gal. Here are the highlights:

Well, like another tournament and like another missed cut. Big effing deal. Like it is sooooo unfair to like shoot even par and miss the cut (eye roll). Then my CPA called and like said I need to start making some money since like my tournament winnings are just $55,000 and I spent that much on my pet dog's stylist. At least I can count on the Nike money continuing to roll in ... what?!? Nike is getting out of golf equipment!!!! @#!!$%#@! :fk

I am in a bitchy mood right now and as such I am inclined to think that she was part of the dead weight that brought down the whole Nike golf division. I am assuming her contract is huge, and probably it was signed back before she became a full time freaksideshow to the LPGA.

Our gal may make the cut this week. Two extra days of shopping practice & playing. The cut appears to be settling around +2 and a timely birdie has MW at +1. Time will tell.

She has a new caddie for the week in Meghan Francella, former LPGA winner from NY state turned full time caddie.

Rolling into the 2nd of several Asian stops, our gal Michelle has decided to take a break and get a little "me time" in. Making 9 of 22 cuts probably would have given most of us enough weekends to chill out. Not our Michelle.

I wonder if the sponsors are not excited about having the 158th ranked player in the field. Was the decision to stay home a result of no invitation?

Wow, our young lady is currently under par and tied for 10th after two rounds. If there were a cut in this event, she would have made it handily. Time to kick the game into high gear as big daddy Nike is not going to be doling out bags of money anymore.

Splat! Worst round saved for last. Well on the plus side, she got her first top 10 of the year (I think).
May have moved our young lady into the top 150.

If I were you I'd cool my jets. This was a weak ass field, ask Tonyj5 he has the hard numbers to back it up. It was also loaded up with a bunch of local yokels like Panpan Yan and Mohan Du. For a Michelle Wie a result in a tournament like this is a barometer of nothing.

Turns out the money won last weekend was "unofficial" money. Since it is unofficial, then it is okay to blow it shopping in Kuala Lumpur, right?

Our young lady has gotten into the Sime Darby on a sponsor's invitation. She needs to start playing a bit better as her exemption as a former US Open winner runs out in 2 years. A good place to start is here, away from the pressure at home.

Finished T27. Look we have to talk about this. Breaking 70 is still a tall task for whatever reason. In spite of an increasingly weird, contrived looking golf game the ball striking is there, the putts are occasionally there. It just seems like she has difficulty with the 18 holes aspect of golf, like it's a little too much for her attention span. In a bizarro world where golf was 12 holes a round, maybe Michelle could dominate.

Our gal is in the penultimate event of 2016. She got in on a sponsor's invitation. I understand the desire to have big names in the field but when a tournament has a very limited field (36) is seems wrong to allow someone ranked #111 on the money list and #115 on the CME Points list to be in the field.

If Michelle gets her act together and wins the event, she will leap frog a bunch of girls and get into the CME Tour Championship. Kind of tough luck for the person in the #70 spot.

When asked for comment, the LPGA said, "let them eat cake" "C'est la vie".

It would be funny if she wins. It won't be on TV in the US. Just imagine the crying and self-mutilating that would break out at Golf Channel HQ. What have we done?!?!

Michelle Wie represents so much of what is soulless and wrong. She is the personification of arrested emotional development. Her entire career represents the triumph of image over substance.
