Now I feel bad about suspecting everyone of trying to make a big story out of nothing. Still think it's a fishy story, but that's neither here nor there. I like Dustin Johnston and wouldn't have minded seeing him continue his run.

DJ talking to ESPN: "for me to have to pull out... it sucks real bad." Ha ha, that's why I like the guy. Unlike most other top sports people he doesn't put on any airs or try to talk like he's President of the World.

Ok I'm seeing the full ESPN interview now, DJ's own account of what happened. No longer think it's fishy. He seems like a straight shooter, his story sounds truthful. Wearing socks and slipped. But again I still hope alcohol was involved.

I've slipped and fell on stairs twice. Once I was holding my son who was about 6 months old at the time.

Surprised that "Burn Hard" Langer still exists after all these years. Not talking about Bernhard Langer the person, the Champions Tour legend, but rather talking about the ridiculous bungling of his name by American commentators. Burn hard. What the fuck Lundquist. So much for the information age.

For the online broadcast they must require one of the commentators in each group to be from the UK, SA or Australia/NZ. Lots of "British" accents.

Griping about the stingy coverage is a beloved Masters tradition. I think it catches everyone off-guard, every year.

Cabrera (sp) is looking pretty old and Jason Day looks like he lost weight. Maybe it is just what he is wearing or the fact that he shaved.

Thomas Pieters went on a wild ride today. He went where no other player has gone today, to -5, but then I guess flew too close to the sun and gave it all back and ended up back at even. Which is still pretty good for today. Still he must be emotionally drained.

Rory's shirt I'm sure retails for well over a hundred bucks, but I feel it looks a lot like an undershirt.

On his approach to #18, William McGirt just realized he is playing the Masters. Let's see how he chips... He saves par and the leader is -3.

If your last name's McGirt then your nickname's gonna have to be Dirt, there's just no way around it.

WTF! Former burn-out surfer dude looking Charley Hoffman is running away from the field. Beef's selection looks like genius. We can only hope that Charley suddenly realizes he is no longer in CA surfing and sucking on a bong. :facepalm

Sorry, but I'm struggling here. If any of us had a chance to play Augusta and we broke our arm and leg the night before, we're still playing. These guys don't feel perfect and they withdraw. Don't get it. When I was a kid .....

He said he felt like he had no chance out there. Guess if you're world #1 you're there to win, not merely grateful for a tee time.

I withdrew from last year's city senior championship. It was a few days prior to the event but I knew come Saturday I was not going to be able to make more than a feeble attempt. Dustin hoped he would feel okay and be able to play. I understand not wanting to go out and just kick it around. If one can't make a decent swing, stay home.

Yup. If you are last year's Publinks winner or whatever then sure, you limp around and gut it out. You cannot miss out on this once in a lifetime experience, plus all the free shwag I am sure it comes with.
