Tiger is playing mediocre but you know what, no more negativity. No more wisecracks about making tee-times for the weekend etc. Going to be positive for a change. He is pretty far back BUT NOT COMPLETELY OUT OF IT.

GO TIGER

Looks like early late got the good side of the draw.
I will stand in the fairway, I want to be out of your range.

Draw seems fairly even for one of these tournaments. Nobody really tearing it up.

Tiger actually improves his position by three spots by shooting another E today. He is an unlikely winner this weekend but all that's important is that he has a chance. Seems like if you could have told him, back when he was in back pain and on hooked on painkillers, that he would one day be entering an Open Championship weekend six shots out of the lead, he would have rejoiced, and liked his chances too. Anyways if he is going to win a major, to me it feels more likely to be a left field, come from behind charge rather than trying to keep a 54-hole lead--that was Young Tiger SOP. Old Tiger is going to have to claw and scratch for the next one IMO.

Tiger will get a good weather break tomorrow. Course will play easier early, but temperature and wind will pick up later in the day. That is my prediction. Love it or leave it.

Tiger Woods is co-leading the Open Championship late on Saturday. Unreal.

He still has a shot tomorrow if the leaders don't get too far out in front. Course is playing pretty easy right now.

His only realistic chance is if wind picks up like it's calling for. If it's calm again he'll have to shoot a 62 at absolute worse to get the win, and that might not even be good enough if it's calm. If the wind blows shooting 3-4 under might be able to get it done. So I think he's praying for some wind.

This is not some Waste Management Open. We really don't know what is going to happen on the leaderboard tomorrow.

It's an outside shot but Tiger will be two groups behind trying to chase down Jordan. This is some cross-generational rivalry shit going down right here. So in that sense a momentous occasion. Looking forward to sitting down with a bigass bagel and several cups of tea and watching.

Hey, he is in the mix. Succeed or fail on Sunday, it is a "win" for us Tigertards. We want our guy in the hunt and if it takes time for him to win, so be it. He is getting closer each time he tees it up.

Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, Tiger!!

In the end, we enjoyed (well except for Fish) a very entertaining Sunday morning of TV golf. In the end, that's all that really matters. :fkno

Ok looks like the official world golf rankings have him sliding in at #50 and he's officially qualified for Firestone.
