2018 The Masters Tournament

Post by legitimatebeef » Thu Mar 29, 2018 3:56 pm

FINE I will start a standalone thread for this tournament, since you all seem to think it's such a big deal.

And I am going to open the festivities with my favorite Masters highlight. It's from 2010--the year Tiger came back from self-imposed sex scandal exile.

It is my favorite because of the reaction of a certain fan spectator patron hater.

Did you guys see where Augusta National has uploaded the TV coverage for every final round televised to Youtube?

It was a very well struck iron shot, and the guy won't even clap. At a golf tournament! All because of some sex. :rofl

Maybe Tiger boinked his daughter behind the Waffle House after her shift.

Let's reset after that unfortunateness. Instead let us enjoy that cool Masters fan-art that DoH posted earlier.

Fred Couples practices with Tiger, says he looks like he did ten years ago, calls experience "pretty awesome."

Tiger and Rory were his best, though Padrick and Poulter were pretty good too.

The so-called golf media is missing the boat on one of the biggest human-interest stories of the year. Tonight, Sergio Garcia is a hosting a dinner, and one of the guests will be Tiger Woods.

:rofl

Yes, I am in fact alluding to "fried chicken".

Watching a bit of press conference. Rory didn't even bother getting a haircut for the week. Thus I don't like his chances. If he were to win, it'd be a historic event and Rory knows that. If he liked his own chances, he'd probably have shown up looking a bit tidier. You know it and I know it.

Thanks Beef for that video. I thought it was pretty damn good, all of them, but the best were as Doug said. :thumbs

I like Rory's chances if he can keep his putter hot. And I like Stenson too. Now, if Tiger is even in contention (say top 5) on Sunday, that would be amazing!

The thing about Stenson that I am shaky on is that he is going to try to rely more on a driver this week. There is a reason he hits so many three woods, and it is not just because he is long with it.

You may be right that he will, but I don't think he needs to. His 3 wood is very long as you know, and probably equal or better in distance to the average Tour driving distance (with a driver). He may end up having some longer iron approaches than the rest of the field at the Masters, but that's his strength. He should use it.

What a jerkoff. Even if he didn't mangle himself, he still looked like a fool running around a golf course on which everyone knows that running is not permitted.

I must say. Flavor wise my pimento cheese sandwich is better than the one at Augusta. Grilling it is the way to go.
