I think you are probably right. Feeling all sassy with the putter n' shit. Heard it here first folks. Rors wins career grand slam, then plunges into deep existential crisis.

I am going to go all Brewster's Millions and vote for None of the Above. My top two picks are Tommy Fleetwood and Patrick Reed.
I will stand in the fairway, I want to be out of your range.

I don't know the greens at Bay Hill are not the same as the greens at Augusta National. Heck just the contouring of them is different. Then throw in the difference between bermuda and bent it wouldn't surprise me if his putting goes back to normal. Heck even I'll have a hot day or 2 with the putter.

But it's hard to shit the bed with your putter when your ball striking is as good as his.

Also I have no clue. I feel there are a dozen guys really playing well who could take it. Plus another dozen who could just get hot and take it.

The field seems really deep right now, even though the actual people playing is the lowest in 20 something years.

That being said I just voted for the best story and picked TW.

I would like to see Mr. Fleetwood win this stupid thing. I think he is a cool guy. Not many pro golfers have the heart and soul to dedicate their first pro victory to the family dog.

I want Tiger, but I think Bubba might be the guy. If he makes the cut, I think he'll be on the front page of the leaderboard on Sunday. But, I'm totally hoping Tiger has his A game and can make it interesting at the least, with a "walking away" win at best.

Someone asked Tommy Fleetwood about his long hair, and he replied he wore his hair long because he had an odd shaped head. Then he showed a pic of himself without a hat and with short hair, and everyone agreed...lol.

So I think Marc Leishman and Tommy Fleetwoods odds just went down.

They are paired with Tiger the first 2 days, so they'll need to deal with all of that hoopla that goes along.

I voted Rory, but I would like Stenson to win it. Two of the best ball strikers on the planet. If their putter works this week, watch out.

Ok, I took the plunge and took both of them at 50-1 to win and 8-1 to finish top 5. Both had the same odds.

As in you actually put money on the line? In Vegas? Remotely? Forgive me, I am not a gambler: I spend a few $$$ in person at the tables (blackjack) or slots when I am there in person, but have never bet on any sporting event...

Please. We are not in Florida anymore. Proper behavior here is not optional.

So you don't expect large amounts of people heading to the next tee when Tiger holes a 20' putt and the 2 of them still have 8' par putts coming?

I think he just wanted to stick it to Florida.

To be fair, Riviera is in the middle of snootsville, surrounded by 8 figure mansions and there was the same level of douchery when Tiger came through. Augusta supposedly has some semblance of decorum and the hallowed ground thing going with their piano music and all, so maybe it'll be toned back a bit.

Growing up in Florida it deserves a good whipping. All those damn New Yorkers move down and expect everyone to assimilate to their culture.

I voted for Dustin. Even though he's apparently an ass I have heard. He's probably not gonna bring it home to SC though. It could be Bubba again.

Also - I went out to my favorite drinks spot tonight and it was full of old dudes in golf/Masters polo shirts - tourists in town for the Masters spilling over into Columbia from Augusta for hotels and such...
I'm gonna hit a provisional

Oh, i'm sure you're seeing that spillover a ton. Monday was PACKED for a practice round. Went to the clubhouse first to buy stuff, and it was shoulder to shoulder in there. You're so excited to go in there and waste a ton of money, then once you finally get in, you're immediately want to get out.

My vote went to Jordan Spieth but all I really want is a competitive tournament with a "name" winner. No Trevor Immelman's or Charles Coody's need apply.
Let's Play 36
GHIN Handicap: 7.8 … 9.2 … Let’s just say I am around a 14!

I'd like to see JT get it done. Reed would be fun to see too.

I dodged a bullet by Tom Watson overtaking Tommy Fleetwood late to win the Par 3 contest.

Well, round 1 is in the books: Spieth did great, both Stenson and Rory did good (and having both of them there at -3 make me feel pretty good about my picks) and Tiger did ok at +1. He's not out of it by any means and had some terrific shots and also some stinkers. Get rid of those and you might have a chance...
