LPGA Winners - 4/1/2017 to 4/11/2018

Post by bkuehn1952 » Wed Apr 11, 2018 12:35 pm

Of course, I would have been woefully wrong without the benefit of LPGA.com I was actually surprised by a few of the women who had notched more than one win. And yes, 4/1/2017 is an arbitrary date, mainly designed to make this difficult (without resorting to the internet).
Let's Play 36
GHIN Handicap: 7.8 … 9.2 … Let’s just say I am around a 14!

Total guess on my part (i.e. I am not bothered enough to look it up): Inbee Park, Lexi Thompson, So Yeon Ryu and Brooke Henderson. What do I win?
I'm gonna go low this time...

A "hearty congratulations" for participating but providing the wrong info.

I would have guessed IKK, SYR, or SYK.

But I didn't look it up either.

I really hope for the sake of seeing the meltdown from Beef that it's Wie.

Ignorance!

Listen I don't like it any more than you but Shanshan Feng of China put the smack down on the LPGA in the latter part of 2017.

I picked IKK, ShanShan, Lexi and Ariya, based on memory. I know Brooke Henderson had at least one, maybe two wins.

Too many but you did name the two ladies with 3 wins (best) during the period.

The two 3-time winners were Ms. Feng and Ms. Kim (I-K). Surprising to me was Christie Kerr won twice during that time period. Tied with her were Jutanugarn, Park (Inbee) and Thompson, if I recall correctly, which is always a problem.

Which brings me to Yani Tseng. Can a great golfer disappear faster? It is players like her that would make me worry if I were Lydia Ko.

I don't know what's going to happen in the future but I seen both of their instagrams recently and Yani Tseng appears to be happy in spite of her prolonged suckage. People say she can still hit the snot out of the ball. She was so dominant for a while there. It was rumored that at the peak she was offered millions by the Chinese government to renounce Taiwan and become a Chinese citizen. That is some serious shit. I don't think any of us could even begin to imagine how heavy a trip that is to lay on a person. My hunch is that she nowadays is happier flying under the radar, and is playing for fun more than success. We are assholes and forget shit easily but she piled up a lot of successes in a short time.

Lydia on the other hand is a mess. She is constantly posting self-help garbage on social media. Listen I have no problem if people want to keep telling themselves "tomorrow is a another day" or whatever, but when someone keeps spouting that stuff to the world it's really pathetic. I think the core problem is she is lonely. It comes through in her interviews and postings. She just wants a boyfriend that's all. That's probably why she has been starving herself lately. She looks like a goddamn bean sprout. I feel so bad for her though. The only men she can really meet in her line of work are shlubby middle aged (and older) men. And her fame level probably scares off all the age-appropriate shy boys who normally would've been a good match for her. F'n sad!
