So now that 5-time Masters Champion Tiger won the Masters and the golf season is over. What will we do until next season?

He's got a good shot at Bethpage Black next month and as far as I am concerned, based on the way he played last week, as good a chance as anyone in both US and British Opens. I'm ready to watch some golf.

Are you kidding me. Golf on TV is back in a big way. Every tournament 5-time Masters Champion Tiger tees it up in now is going to be superhype. Last summer seemed like Tigermania was peaking. Crowds were chanting in St Louis at the PGA Championship. Tour Championship felt like major. Now after what just happened, 5-time Masters Champion Tiger is freakin supernova.

Suddenly the Masters seems like the head and shoulders majorest championship. The US Open is now covered by the Fox Network, by Paul Azinger instead of Johnny Miller. So there goes its status down the tubes. The PGA move to May IMO is only going to lower the PGA's status, which was at the bottom anyways. Here's the latest definitive ranking.

1 Masters
2 Open Championship
T3 US Open
T3 PGA

Fuck it, this is senior golf but Stricker is a PGA Tour legend.

Steve Stricker is the best. When he wins, it is the best. He will turn on the waterworks right on cue every time. Nobody does it better. Nobody more humbled in victory than this motherfucker. :bawl

Webb Simpson named his daughter Wyndham, yes that's right after the hotel chain, because he won their tournament once. That is one of the stupidest, lamest things I have ever heard.

The PGA Tour has come to Beef's Landing. Once again I am facing temptations to attend.

pros:
-ultraconvenient ferry directly from Manhattan to the 12th hole. No stupid shuttle busing necessary for ferry passengers. As far as attending pro golf, don't think access gets any easier than this
-chance to see 5-time Masters Champion Tiger Woods
-weather is actually kind of pleasant right now

cons:
-tickets are not cheap nor is ferry fare ($25)
-New Jersey
-New Jersey area folks

Discuss.

Attend, but make sure you're properly attired (boat shoes and popped collar) and hammered no later than 10am on vodka drinks. Lots of yelling on tee shots, too.

Being from Connecticut, I would have generally agreed with your pros and cons, but it would look more like this:

cons:
-tickets are not cheap nor is ferry fare ($25)
-New Jersey
-New Jersey and New York area folks

Of course, present company excluded!

Doug that is actually a very relevant point. The ferry picks up from lower Manhattan, a.k.a. financial district, a well established douche-zone. Demographically speaking I think I'd maybe even rather mix it up with Long Islanders than banker bros. Ugh. It's a toss-up.

Most likely I'll just be watching on TV. Still I will suffer from fear of missing out. Frankly the main appeal here is the access, being able to ride my bike down to the southern tip, hop on a ferry and get dropped off in the middle of the course. Sheeit, the more I talk about it the more appealing it is. 5-time Masters Champion Tiger is getting old you know and who knows the next time he'll do another one of these stupid Fedex cups. See, I cannot make up my mind here. Will keep an eye out for cheap tix I guess.

I think 5-time Masters Champion Tiger's going to make the decision for me. Pro-am is going on right now, but reports on twitter suggest that the back's acting up mid-round, and now he's only chipping and putting around the course. Fuck this shit. It's over. Everyone go and die in the way that seems best to you.

Though it may be moot at this point, but I happen to know for a fact that 5-time Masters Champion Tiger doesn't like playing in the Northeast. Joe LaCava mentioned it we (the members) were hoping he might bring his boss to Oxford Greens for a round one day. I don't think he's a fan of bent grasses.

Wow 5-time Masters Champion Tiger and I have something in common. Growing up in Florida I really don't like anything but bermuda grass. Everyone else in the golf world hates bermuda, but it's what I grew up on.

It took me way too long to get use to bent grass up in TN. But 2 courses switched to bermuda while I was there and it was so much nicer. Although the grounds crew did have some adjustments to get use to, because they couldn't put pins in locations that historically they were able to.

It's official. The man says he is "stiff" today. Stopped hitting full shots after seven holes. This on a Wednesday, after a long layoff. Fuck this shit. The last time 5-time Masters Champion Tiger played here, back pain brought him to his knees. Fuck this shit.

One thing is clear by now. He managed to win the Masters with a shitty back. Besides Koepka, they all kind of suck!!!

"Suck" is a relative term. I WISH I could suck like even the worst guy on Tour does, or hell, even the worst guy on the Korn Ferry Tour.
