Had about thirty aftershakes over the subsequent three days. They seemed to have stopped. For now. I still imagine phantom quakes occasionally.

The weather is pretty ass here lately, so I have been taking most of my ball whacking to the coast. It never really gets hot there. Feels like cheating at golf. That is to say, I can hit up the local course and labor away in 90 degree heat, or simply drive another 25 minutes and enjoy low 70s under a cool marine layer. Not everyone has that option!

We're meant to have a drop to 68° on Wednesday. It's too early to cool off!

October in the Mitten is not supposed to be sunny and 85 but that is what we’ve had the last couple days. Things will cool a bit but my hope is that El Niño deals us a good hand for late Fall and Winter.
