It's even worse than that. I originally posted this in the "2017 LPGA thread". Unfortunate!

(p.s. moderators, if you haven't ever done a "split topic" command, you should try it. It feels strangely good!)

That's it. I lasted about 48 minutes into the new season. I can't take the commentary and the overall presentation anymore. It's all so childish and bland. LPGA is for little girls. I mean little. A ten-year-old would probably roll her eyes at this sort of babyish crap.

LPGA is coming at you live on primetime from Australia. That's right. Tune in for the next three nights at 9 or 10 EST on the "golf" channel.

Listen I love LPGA literally more than anyone else on this site, but I really wish the NIH or whatever would do some research into ladies' tournament golf as a treatment for insomnia. (I am not joking or even half-joking here. At most this is like 10% joke, the rest I am quite serious about.)

I realize that Big Pharma is probably sending someone over right now to rub me out, but let me tell you, this is a sound idea. Late Nights with LPGA is so soothing. It lulls me in. I think the way it works, is that the content is interesting enough for me to engage with and get absorbed in, and then from there the general blandness of the whole presentation, the uninteresting banter, the volume level of the commentator's voices, long quiet gaps between golf shots etc. take over and make the eyelids feel heavy, slow down the heart rate etc.

Just before the final group struck their balls, the usually lighthearted Aussie TV commentator got serious for a moment. "This is not just another tour event. This means something to us. This is... our national open." :breaking

This week the LPGA coming at you live from Thailand. The land of vertical smiles, or so they say. This one is a real test of LPGA fandom. 1-5am ET coverage. I might get to see a half hour tops before dozing off. 😴

I lasted 15 minutes. But they were pretty good, I think. My girl Brooke's at the top of the leaderboard.

If someone here other than me tunes into LPGA, even for 15 minutes, I consider that huge.

Somehow got a reprieve last night--they moved up the TV coverage to a much more useful 10pm ET. Thus I actually watched quite a bit of it. Great leaderboard. Best of the best. Tonight the coverage goes back to 1AM god knows why. But I will look for an illicit foreign broadcast stream. Which is better anyways, a nice "F U" to the so-called golf channel and all their stupid advertisers. "Are you tired of chunking chips?" Jesus Christ.

They have a replay on this morning and I saw more than 15 minutes - does that count?

Last year Michelle came out with a sort of provocative, "come and get it boys" look. This year is more of a "not interested in a relationship/working on myself". Good for you girlfriend :fk

Pretty stacked leaderboard. Brooke, Lexi, Lincicome, Korda and Jutanagarn sisters, Minjee, Munoz, and Wiesy, doing some kind of cosplay Lady Rainicorn thing.

Funny you mention that. I was going to say Lexi isn't all that stacked, but decided otherwise and deleted my comment before posting. After your comment, I feel I wasn't the only one who picked up on the "stacked" part. So I guess I am just one more dirty old man....of many. :facepalm

Holy crap, just saw the extent of the surgery that Jessica Korda had undergone, and she wins her first tournament back. They had to break her nose and then her jaw in five places, and she has over twenty five screws still in there. OUCH! And then a very big difference in the before and after pictures, with her.
I will stand in the fairway, I want to be out of your range.

Maybe I am just a rube but to me her face looks drastically different. Somehow everything, even eyes and nose, seem different. Even her voice and demeanor seem a little changed. We can't talk about it though. Just based on discussions I've seen elsewhere. Seems like half of people see hardly any change in her appearance, and get offended by even the mere suggestion. Touchy subject I guess.

LPGA comin' at ya live tonight! From Singapore (ignorance time: is that a country or a city? :facepalm ). It's not just any LPGA event, supposedly it is a "World Championship" and not just any World Championship but an HSBC World Championship. Yes I know it's just another stupid bank but hey, as far as stupid banks go HSBC seems to go the extra mile when sponsoring golf tournaments, so let's just be appreciative and tune in. You know well how gay I am for late-night live tournament golf action, and the TV schedule for this one is stupendous:

a whopping 4 hours of coverage starting tonight at 10:30 ET
Friday/Saturday midnight-2:30AM ET and back to 10:30-2:30AM Sunday morning.

Like you have anything better to watch at that time! :fuckall You can give Ted Koppel or whatever a rest for a few nights, the world isn't gonna end.

All you haters have to once again bow down to the Queen. Don't give me that "But I didn't say anything" crap. Your silence speaks so loudly and don't think I didn't hear it, every single time.

What shocks me most this week is not that the Queen of Putting has returned--I never considered the throne vacated, jack--it's that she switched from a mallet putter to an Anser style blade. That's kind of like Tiger showing up one week with an Odyssey 2-ball all of a sudden, and then winning with it.
